Chapter 101 Killing Three Corpses
"Sure enough! This cushion is really not that simple. It can actually improve my understanding. If it can be used in this way in the outside world, it will be comparable to the fragment of the Jade Disc of Creation, or even better!"
Hengming also has a fragment of the Jade Disc of Creation on him, but it can only serve as a reference at most. After all, there are too many incomplete great ways in it, and there is no way to verify each other. If he just shut himself in and practice hard, he will only ruin his own great way.
If it was a complete Jade Disc of Creation, then there would be no need to worry about this disaster, but Hengming was not as lucky as the great god Pangu.
The vast sound of Tao resounds throughout the universe, and can even spread throughout the universe, traveling through the past and the future. From the transcendent gods to the humble ants, everyone is enveloped by this sound, but in the end it only floats in this small palace.
Countless gods tried their best to obtain a few words of the secret, but all ended in failure. They could only practice Taoism and were unable to hear the secret of Hunyuan.
A large picture depicting the mysteries of heaven and earth was hung on the high platform, reflecting the golden lotus on which Hongjun was sitting. There were also shining pearls, and along with Hongjun's Taoist voice, divine light was emitted, vaguely revealing countless mysteries of the great Dao.
All the gods listened with fascination, or to be more precise, only the seven people on the cushions listened with fascination. The rest of the gods, even those as strong as Taiyi, as arrogant as Dijun, as cold as Wangshu, as gentle as Fuxi, or as gloomy as the Styx, all had their brows closed and their faces full of confusion.
Needless to say, their aptitude and comprehension were not inferior to anyone else, but the Hunyuan Dao that Hongjun spoke of was too far away from them. They would often understand a sentence and have some insights in their hearts, but Hongjun would have already said three or four more sentences later. They would lose sight of one thing while focusing on another, and it was extremely difficult for them to listen.
At this moment, a faint smile suddenly appeared on Hongjun's face, and then a whisk appeared in his hand. He waved it in front of him, and countless chaotic auras suddenly emerged from the void like a tide, and finally slowly decomposed into innate spiritual energy and merged into the bodies of the gods present.
A faint smile appeared on Hengming's face, and he felt his soul become clear, his mind relaxed and happy, and a great sense of comfort arose spontaneously. Great visions appeared with every breath he took.
A perfect big wheel appeared out of thin air and kept spinning. A vast world emerged beneath it, with all kinds of races and infinite life. Every time the wheel rotated one circle, countless living beings died. When the wheel rotated another circle, countless living beings were born out of thin air.
A scroll travels through the void, as elusive and immeasurable as a long river. The scroll depicts countless inexplicable patterns, and each pattern is a ray of disaster between heaven and earth. When the scroll shakes, countless disasters are born, reflecting the big wheel.
Waves of obscure aura spread out, and an acre of huge celebration cloud flew out involuntarily above Hengming's head. The three flowers of heaven, earth and man blossomed, and each flower had twelve grades. At this moment, Hongjun also began to talk about the most critical principle of Hunyuan.
"The Tao has no before or after, no left or right, no good or evil, no self, no obsession, no inside or outside. The Tao is neither here nor there. The Tao is there. Existence is non-existence, and non-existence is existence. Good, evil, and self are all false. What is good? What is evil? What is self? What is obsession? The Tao is eternal, and obsession is false..."
There seems to be infinite Zen meaning in these simple words, with mysteries hidden within them. Only by carefully studying and pondering with infinite wisdom can one obtain a hint of the secret.
Hengming sat cross-legged with his five hearts facing the sky, his hands constantly changing countless mysterious spells, vaguely in line with the great principles of the Tao. His face was solemn and there seemed to be a smile at the corner of his mouth, but when you looked closely there was nothing at all. It was very strange.
Not only Hengming showed abnormalities, Laozi had a blank expression, Yuanshi Tianzun had a serious face, Tongtian's face was ashen, Nuwa had a smile on his face, the bitterness on Jieyin's face became more and more serious, and Zhunti was sometimes conflicted, sometimes smiling, and sometimes in pain, which was very strange.
Suddenly, auspicious clouds appeared above the heads of the seven people, and the three flowers of heaven, earth and man blossomed, with each flower blooming into twelve grades. Their aptitude and understanding were so good that they were among the best in the prehistoric world and could be said to be invincible.
On the ceiling on the far left of Hengming, a vague golden figure appeared faintly, manipulating the Wheel of Destiny to slowly rotate, as if it wanted to merge into the figure, but seemed afraid of disturbing the figure's existence.
Not only Hengming, but also the other six people's three flowers, either the sky flower or the ground flower, all had a human figure appearing, and spiritual treasures emerged, with thousands of layers of precious light and tens of thousands of sharp auras. The scene was really spectacular.
The hearts of the Taoists behind the seven people were throbbing, wondering what kind of Hunyuan principles these seven people had realized to have such great momentum.
Upon seeing this, Hongjun burst into laughter. This was the first time that Hongjun laughed since he started preaching. His laughter was full of joy, and countless golden lotuses were born with this laughter. This was the sound of joy of the saint, as well as the signal of joy of heaven and earth.
"Fool, wake up quickly!"
Hongjun stopped preaching and let out a loud shout, which awakened even Haotian Yaochi and other Taoists who had been listening with their eyes closed. However, those top gods, who were able to understand some of the principles of Hunyuan, had been concentrating on comprehending the great Dao, and therefore did not know about the situation of these seven people at the first time.
Fortunately, many great people behind them spoke at once, which made them understand what happened.
Di Jun frowned, glanced at Nuwa, and finally saw Hengming.
Taiyi whispered, "Brother, Hengming has agreed to be the host of your wedding with your two sisters-in-law. There shouldn't be any problem, right?"
Di Jun's face was full of contemplation. The Demon King had understood the enormous pressure of his race. He was no longer as frivolous as before. He learned to think and give in.
"That's what I said, but I still have some doubts in my heart. And you didn't see Heng Ming talking to Dou Mu Yuan Jun before. Although I don't know what they said, I still have some uneasiness in my heart. You also know that Dou Mu Yuan Jun's status is special. He is a greater threat to us than Ziwei Emperor. He should not be underestimated."
Di Jun whispered.
Chang Xi, who was standing beside them, nodded and said softly, "That Dou Mu Yuanjun was able to sense the starry sky and conceive an offspring. She was protected by the entire boundless starry sky, so she was able to live until now. Otherwise, we would have killed her long ago!"
Xihe also said: "My husband, I took a strand of the essence of the moon according to your instructions not long ago, mixed it with a strand of the essence of the sun and placed it on the starry sky. Dou Mu Yuanjun should be pregnant by now. Moreover, Emperor Ziwei has now left the boundless starry sky. Without the cover of the natural emperor, Dou Mu Yuanjun can no longer hide with the status of the mother of all stars!"
A murderous look flashed across Di Jun's face. In order to fight against foreign enemies, one must first stabilize the internal situation. The Wu Clan is an external threat, Heng Ming is also an external threat, and Dou Mu Yuanjun is an internal worry. Only by completely eradicating the mother of all stars can the Moon and the Sun truly become the leaders of all stars.
Without Dou Mu Yuanjun, even if Ziwei Emperor was still alive, Ziwei Star would not be able to defeat the Taiyin and Sun binary stars.
The position of Lord of the Starry Sky is destined to belong to Heaven.
As Hongjun shouted loudly, a wisp of soul emerged from Hongjun's body, and countless mysteries of the great Dao were revealed in front of all the gods through his magical powers. The mysteries of the heavens, the changes of the celestial bodies, the growth of all things, and the secrets of heaven and earth, this was the essence of this sermon.
Even Hongjun no longer uses words to express the mysteries of the Tao, but personally interprets the mysteries of the Tao. Only by experiencing it personally can one understand what the Tao is.
This truth cannot be spoken with the mouth, heard with the ears, smelled with the nose, or seen with the eyes, but can only be felt with the mind. The gods who sit down and listen to the truth all understand it in their hearts, but the people who gain the most are the seven famous people on the cushion.
Hengming opened his eyes first, and controlled the Wheel of Fate with a humming sound. Then, like a young swallow returning to its nest, he dived into the illusory figure. The figure used the control of the Wheel of Fate as its foundation, and quickly condensed, and finally suddenly jumped out of Qingyun.
A young Taoist priest dressed in red dust robes and with his hair tied up with a white wooden stick appeared. As soon as he appeared, he laughed loudly, bowed to Heng Ming and said, "I, the Red Dust Taoist priest, greet you."
Heng Ming supported him and said with a smile, "You and I are one, why should we be so polite? I am currently preaching, please return to your seat, fellow Taoist."
Taoist Hongchen chuckled, transformed into a ray of divine light and penetrated into Hengmingqingyun, and finally sat cross-legged on the ceiling to practice.
Although his face was exactly the same as Hengming's, his temperament was more plain, more like the flesh-and-blood human race of later generations, laughing and cursing, rather than the innate great god of this life, he really deserved to be called the Red Dust. Following Hengming was Laozi, with a crutch also integrated into the illusory figure. An old man with white hair and beard, wearing a Tai Chi robe, appeared, bowed to Laozi and said: "I am the Tai Chi Taoist, I am honored to meet you."
Laozi shook his head and said with a smile: "We are one body, no need to be polite, please return to your seat, fellow Taoist."
There were also Taoists appearing in the celebration clouds of the other people. Hengming paid careful attention and found that only he and Laozi killed the good corpses, while the other five people all killed the evil corpses.
The evil corpse of Yuanshi Tianzun is called Yuqing Taoist, the evil corpse of Tongtian is called Shangqing Taoist, the evil corpse of Nuwa is called Wahuang, the evil corpse of Zhunti is called Bodhi Patriarch, and the evil corpse of Jieyin is called Wutian Demon Buddha.
"As expected, obsession is the hardest to kill, followed by good thoughts, and evil thoughts are the easiest to kill. After all, it is difficult to generate good thoughts, but it is easy to generate murderous thoughts. Naturally, we should kill evil thoughts first, then good thoughts, and finally obsession."
Hengming pondered the Tao.
That's right, the seven of them had just comprehended the secret method of beheading the three corpses from Hongjun's voice of Tao. With the help of Hongjun's explanation of the mysteries of the Tao, they completely cut off the biggest obstacle in their hearts.
Hongjun has explained the essence of the Tao. There is no good or evil, no self or ego. Any good or evil self is false. The path of cultivation is to transform oneself into something eternal like the Tao, transcending all constraints. Killing the Three Corpses is the secret method specially developed by Hongjun for this purpose.
Killing the Three Corpses does not mean to turn yourself into a stone, without thoughts or consciousness. Even if someone swings a knife at you, you will just watch coldly without any intention of resisting.
Killing the three corpses is only to bring oneself closer to the Tao, to better comprehend the Tao, and this is the eternal happiness.
Why do people feel happy? It is because they are happy when their desires are satisfied. Eating when you are hungry is happiness, drinking water when you are thirsty is happiness, and sleeping when you are sleepy is happiness. Why do we feel happy when we do these things? Because we are driven by desire.
To kill the three corpses is to kill desires. The absence of desires is equivalent to desires being satisfied all the time, and being in a state of great bliss and joy all the time. This is the highest purpose and deepest truth of Hongjun's creation of the secret method of killing the three corpses.
Hengming compared the secret method of beheading the three corpses that he had comprehended with the legends of his previous life, and found that he did not feel incomplete. Instead, he felt more complete because he had cut off unnecessary delusions and placed his hopes on the Taoist priest in the world.
However, his cultivation was still at the late stage of Daluo Jinxian, and he did not become Hunyuan Jinxian by eliminating his good thoughts.
"It seems that the Secret Method of Killing the Three Corpses is only a spiritual secret method, not a method of cultivation. However, it does have some benefits. My good thoughts can be transformed into gods by manipulating the Wheel of Fate. They have the wisdom and thoughts of independent thinking and can help me do things. I just need to improve his cultivation."
Heng Ming said thoughtfully.
The secret method of beheading the three corpses is only a spiritual secret method. It does not matter whether there is an innate spiritual treasure to rely on or not. But if there is an innate spiritual treasure to rely on, then it is equivalent to conjuring up a helper out of thin air. The strength of this helper is equal to the quality of the spiritual treasure.
And because the three corpses come from the cultivator's obsession with good and evil, as long as the cultivator is not dead, even if the three corpses are destroyed, they can be refined again after a period of time.
Hongjun used the Three Corpses to break Luohou's Zhuxian Sword Formation, which shows that Hongjun's wisdom is far superior to Luohou's.
However, the things that the three corpses rely on can only be innate, not acquired. If they enter the acquired state, they will enter the lower level and easily pollute the original source.
Hengming suddenly thought of the Chaos Bell in Taiyi's hand, and his heart trembled: "If Taiyi also learned the secret method of beheading the three corpses and placed his good or evil thoughts on the Chaos Bell, it would be equivalent to having a powerful person close to the Hunyuan Daluo Jinxian appear out of thin air! We must be on guard!"
Hongjun looked at the seven people on the cushion and found that they had all learned his secret method of beheading the three corpses. He felt comforted and said with a smile, "Among the three thousand guests in Zixiao Palace, only seven people have learned the true method. Wonderful, wonderful."
The seven people on the mats bowed to the ground and said loudly: "Thank you, Master Hongjun, for your teachings. I will never forget you!"
The gods were extremely jealous and wanted to know what kind of true teachings these people had received from Hongjun. They were anxious, but unfortunately Hongjun didn't say anything, and neither did the seven people, so they didn't dare to do anything.
Hongjun stopped preaching at this moment, nor did he say what to do. He just let the gods practice in Zixiao Palace. Hengming and a few others were also willing to consolidate their cultivation, so they naturally began to practice hard.
At this moment, Di Jun made a gesture to Tai Yi, then suddenly rushed forward and said loudly: "Teacher, please listen to what I have to say."
Hongjun's eyebrows turned, and the smile he had when facing the seven people returned to being cold after seeing Dijun, and he said calmly: "If you have something to say, just say it."
A drop of cold sweat involuntarily slid down Di Jun's forehead. He did not expect Hongjun's attitude, but he still said with a stiff upper lip: "Since the end of the Dragon and Phoenix Calamity, the innate races have grown stronger and stronger, and all things in the frost sky are competing for freedom. However, the Wu clan has risen and has expanded its power since Buzhou. I don't know how many good lives have been killed. I can't bear it, so I came to ask the teacher. I don't know-"
Before Di Jun could finish his words, twelve powerful auras suddenly emerged from the Zixiao Palace near the gate, emitting boundless evil spirits. Even with the wonderful sounds of the great Dao in the air, it was difficult to conceal the majesty of these evil spirits.
The gods looked back quickly and discovered that there were twelve wizards with different expressions staring at Di Jun. They were the Twelve Ancestral Wizards. Upon seeing this, the gods quickly moved forward, not wanting to get close to these evil stars, for fear of losing their own lives.
"How come these evil stars came to Zixiao Palace to listen to the teachings? We haven't even noticed yet. How unlucky we are."
Some great masters sitting in the back row thought to themselves.
Zhu Rong had the hottest temper. When he saw Di Jun slandering them, he immediately wanted to step forward and curse Di Jun, but Xuan Ming stopped him first and signaled him to be patient.
The other ancestor witches all turned their eyes to their eldest and second brothers, wanting to see what instructions they would give next. Di Jiang and Zhu Jiuyin looked at each other, and finally decided to let Hou Tu speak.
Emperor Jun was not afraid of the twelve witch ancestors, and said in a deep voice: "Why, is there something wrong with what I said? The saint is here, and you dare to attack like this, which shows how tyrannical you are in the prehistoric world, and how you harm all living beings! You dare to roar at Zixiao and disrespect the saint! It's simply an aggravated crime!"
Hou Tu's face was normal, and she said softly: "I don't know what it means to be tyrannical, I only know that you are very thick-skinned. You said that my Wu clan harmed all living beings, then why did you say that the innate hundreds of clans are thriving and all things are free in the frost sky?
Moreover, I have seen that the demon race forcibly absorbs some weak races and forces them to call themselves demons. Even their luck and spiritual treasures cannot be kept and must be handed over. You even want to call yourself the Emperor of Heaven and want to take the entire prehistoric world into your hands.
Fellow Taoists, please ask yourselves, our Wu clan is indeed a bit overbearing in its actions, but is this wrong?
We brothers and sisters are powerful and can naturally be overbearing, but we are self-aware and know how precious your freedom is, so we will not rashly invade your temples. But the demon clan is not like that.
"My Wu clan has no primordial spirit, so even if we get the innate spiritual treasure, it is useless. If we refine it by force, its power will be greatly reduced. But if the demon clan dominates this primitive world, do you Taoist friends still think you can be safe and sound and free?"
"As for Daoist Di Jun's words about roaring at Zixiao, it is disrespectful to the saints..."
Hou Tu chuckled: "Even Saint Hongjun hasn't spoken yet, why did Daoist Fellow Dijun make such a grand decision? Otherwise, it's not Saint Hongjun who is preaching in Zixiao Palace, but you, Dijun, who is preaching?"
