Chapter 57: Lightless World
After the words impacted his mind, Anti received a special miracle.
[“Remnant Night”: Eternal Night Miracle. A special divine miracle fixed in the eyes. After performing it, you can see invisible cracks in the night. After passing through the cracks, the world on the other side is what you are looking for.]
Coming to the side silently, he directly performed this miracle.
His eyes had not yet achieved synesthesia and could not perform miracles, but Andnight seemed to have engraved this miracle directly on his eyes, so he was able to go through the back door.
In the dark eyes, there were flickers of candle-like light, and finally a pattern was outlined in which a black hole encompassed and tore apart the three images of the sun, the moon and the stars.
Is this the totem of faith in the night?
No, not really.
When in Gross Town, Anti had seen the Night Totem in the Night Chaser Church, but the "background" of that Night Totem was the "starry sky" rather than a "black hole", and the images of the sun, moon and stars were not torn apart.
The information in my brain shows not "Miracle of Night" but "Miracle of Eternal Night". I don't know what kind of changes it contains.
As he was thinking, changes occurred in front of his eyes, as if his vision was covered by a dusk-like filter, everything in front of him became dim, and the sunlight became dim.
After entering this vision, he looked around.
It seems to be just a layer of "filter". It is probably used to create an atmosphere in daily life. I haven't found any new uses for it yet.
Its real effect was that when Anti looked behind the giant mechanical pillar of the Casting Yang Node, a dark crack with a deep blue edge appeared in Anti's field of vision.
Anti blinked, then stopped "The Remnant Night".
As the dusk filter faded, the crack disappeared with it.
Anti touched the back of the giant pillar, where the crack he had just seen was. There was nothing there and he could not touch anything with his hand.
After thinking it over for a while, Anti suddenly grabbed a guard who was also inspecting the scene and asked, "Do you see anything here?"
The guard looked at Anti in confusion, then looked in the direction he was pointing: "What are you talking about?"
"Sorry to bother you." Anti said nothing more, just shook his head and ignored him.
The guard left with a strange look on his face.
I heard from my colleagues before that this Juandi person was very strange and suspected to have some mental problems. It seems that what they said is true.
Anti cast the Remnant Night again. When the crack appeared, he did not hesitate and stretched out his hand towards the crack in front of him. When his hand touched the crack, the crack suddenly expanded a little, and a force of attraction appeared.
There was no time to react, and Anti's eyes went dark.
……
I opened my eyes, but it was still dark.
It was so dark that only the vague outlines of things around me could be seen, almost like being blind.
After trying for a while, Anti temporarily gave up vision and could only try to use other senses to feel. However, although he relied on the regenerative side effects of Lebanon to enhance his senses, he had not done any professional non-visual sensing training.
It's fine for simple use, but it's a bit difficult to use it for a long time and in a delicate way.
The eternal night seemed even darker than expected.
He looked up, and it was pitch black, and he couldn't see anything.
I fumbled around randomly, but couldn't find anything for a while.
The breeze brushed my skin, and I could smell the non-rotten smell of blood, followed by all kinds of noisy and trivial sounds coming from my ears.
Even though he couldn't see with his eyes, his other senses still fully told him that the world was very lively.
Keep calm first.
Ding~.
Anti noticed that when using miracles, the light of inspiration was actually obscured by the eternal night.
Suddenly, a sound came rapidly towards Anti.
"Oh, the welcome for new arrivals comes so soon." Anti said calmly.
After a muffled sound, Anti raised his left hand and released a burning miracle. A ball of fire rose in his hand, instantly illuminating the surroundings.
Under the light of the fire, Anti saw a strange creature that was quite similar to the cursed body in Gross Town, but without any eye sockets on his face, only a mouth, rushing towards him.
He reached out and grabbed the monster's neck and pressed it to the ground. After attaching the Burning Blade to the monster and burning it, Anti had no time to do the next thing.
Suddenly, roars and screams were heard one after another all around.
Then came the mighty sound of "a thousand horses galloping" in his ears. A large number of things were rushing towards him! The light stimulated them!
Although An had anticipated that in a dark and almost lightless world, any light source would be as conspicuous as a lighthouse and easily attract other attention, he did not initially consider trying to "light a lamp" directly.
But that doesn't mean he won't try to die. When facing an attack, he still subconsciously wants to see what the other party looks like.
As a result, the stimulation of light in this world seemed to be far crazier than he had expected!
Click!
After shaping his body, he twisted the burnt monster's neck with force, leaving the fire there and extinguishing the fire in his hand. He turned around and ran in a random direction.
boom!
It seems like I hit a wall...
After calming himself down, Anti walked forward carefully, feeling the wall.
After a while, a large number of indistinct creatures quickly gathered around the monster corpse that he had set on fire. They attacked the fire frantically and tore the corpse into pieces.
Until the flames disappeared, they seemed unable to calm down for the time being, and all kinds of deafening noises made Anti's ears hurt.
boom!
On the way, Anti crashed again.
But this time, what he hit was not a cold wall, but warm flesh and blood, some kind of moving creature.
"Roar!" Suddenly, a roar sounded nearby, accompanied by a foul smell.
boom!
There was another muffled sound. This time it was not the sound of a collision. It was Anti who directly pulled out a hammer and smashed the thing in front of him. Although it could not be seen, it was so loud that even a fool would know where it was.
After one blow of the hammer, the roar stopped abruptly.
Suddenly, a tentacle-like tongue stretched out from under Anti's clothes and groped forward.
"Hungry...eat..." A dull voice came into Anti's ears.
"It seems that this is your buffet restaurant." Anti touched the big mouth on his chest which had secretly opened a gap at some point.
The clothes inside squirmed, and more tongue tentacles stretched out to harvest the food.
Suddenly, some monsters approached.
Anti suddenly felt a sharp pain.
It seems that the tongue that was collecting food was attacked by something else!
"Ouch...hungry...pain..."
"After being beaten, hunger comes before pain, right?" Anti pulled back the tongues that had stuck out.
Most of the mouth's senses are connected to Anti itself, especially the sense of hunger, and pain is naturally included.
The invisible monster continued to pounce on Anti.
Anti was still pulling the tongue in his mouth and was knocked down without paying attention. This thing seemed to have many long and thin legs, and seemed to be some kind of insect.
After knocking Anti to the ground, he pressed his entire body on him, and the sharp object forcefully pierced Anti's abdomen.
Then, Antii felt an even more terrible pain in his abdomen, as if his stomach had turned into a washing machine, violently stirring his intestines.
Stab it!
Then he felt his stomach go empty, as if something was being pulled out of his body.
"You really want to take my intestines." Anti was sweating coldly from the pain, and the corners of his mouth twitched again and a smile appeared.
Four straight swords pierced out quickly, piercing through the unknown monster that was pressing on him.
The monster screamed and fell down. Anti kicked it away, then turned over and got up, groping on the ground to pick up his intestines.
I don't know if what I touched was intestines or not, but it was all meat anyway. I just stuffed it all back in, and gave the dirty parts to Big Mouth to eat.
"Huh? Why the hell are you stealing my intestines?"
"……Hungry……"
Stab it!
"Mmm...tongue..."
"Next time you eat my food without my consent, I will eat your tongue in exchange. Got it?"
"...I understand...hungry..."
