Chapter 86 Remarks on the launch!
Dear book lovers and fellow Taoists, this book is finally going to be on the shelves!
Let me briefly talk about why I wrote this book.
Mainly because of my profession, I may be more suitable for writing this kind of novel.
So one day in September 2023, I started thinking about trying to write it.
I wrote my first book, called "One Hundred Ghosts Descend into the World", and published it serially on Weibo and published it as my first book on this Qidian author account. However, the more I wrote, the harder it became to continue. The more I wrote, the more I felt that it was not very interesting. It was almost a stand-alone story, and it flopped without any suspense. Some readers may have visited my homepage and seen this book, but I have deleted it now.
Friends who have read this far, please don’t call me a “eunuch”. You have definitely not read that book, because I almost played alone all the way on Qidian, and I just used it as a practice for a newbie.
Later, a friend advised me that as a newcomer, I should go to Qiqidian. Qidian's readers are so vicious, and there are so many great and small authors. It is difficult for a newcomer to stand out on Qidian.
But I was stubborn and came back with this new book I had just conceived.
I was very lucky this time. I received the signing notice before New Year's Day and completed the signing on the first day after the holiday.
Then I just typed silently, carving details one paragraph at a time, one chapter at a time, ushering in the first round of new book PK, advancing, the second round of PK, advancing, the third round of PK, and advancing again. Until the fourth round of PK, I hit a wall and failed to reach Sanjiang.
This makes me feel regretful and frustrated, because I tried my best to write this book well, realistically and meticulously, so that readers can feel as if they are in the story. I also tried my best to describe and show in this novel all the Taoist heritage that I know, learn and master, instead of just glossing over it in general terms.
Although this is a fairy-tale novel, I also hope that it is a "people-oriented" fairy-tale novel. So I wrote each chapter very slowly. I roughly calculated that each chapter would take at least two hours, and at most nearly three or four hours.
This is also the reason why I am not eligible to participate in the coding competition, because I can't match the writing speed of other writers.
But I am also very satisfied. Firstly, it happened to be during the Spring Festival that I played PK Chong Sanjiang, and many of the people who advanced on the same stage were great writers who seemed unattainable to me. Secondly, I found something even more fortunate, which was meeting you.
I am even more fortunate to have met you, many readers who recognize me, and among them are many Taoists. Even though I don’t know each other and we are of different generations, all Taoists in the world are one family, and I should bow to you from afar and call you “Senior Brother, Sanwuliang!”
So looking back on the past month and a half, I found that I really benefited from everyone's love. Thanks to your encouraging messages, I did not stop updating during the Spring Festival and made it through round after round of PK.
Today, I received a reminder from my editor to prepare a "remarks for the book launch". I was confused, so I went to look through other people's books to learn how they wrote them, but after reading them, I found that many of them were "additional rules".
Forget it, I dare not propose the rules for updating more pages, and I don't want to make lofty statements about updating more pages or more frequently. My level is limited, and I have to work slowly and carefully step by step. So, I still say: I will insist on updating continuously.
Finally, I would like to thank all the book friends who support me again, as well as all the fellow Taoists and brothers from all over the world on the other end of the APP, thank you for your support and company!
If possible, please don't be stingy and give me another favor by making a first order or subscribing! Hahahaha!
