Chapter 59: Be careful when chasing stars
"Tanigawa!"
Conan came to visit early in the morning.
"Morning, Conan."
"Good morning, Brother Tanigawa, can we go play together?" Conan glanced at Ai who was cleaning the table and quickly pretended to be a child.
Xiao Ai's lips curled up unconsciously, and she ran to the kitchen with her dishes and chopsticks, grinning.
"Don't talk like that, it's disgusting." Tanigawa looked at Conan with disdain.
Having just eaten, Tanigawa didn't want to vomit out what he had just eaten.
"Your sister is here." Conan said in a low voice after seeing Ai leave.
"Ai also knows that you are a high school student." Tanigawa said nonchalantly.
"What!?"
Conan felt dizzy and his body was out of control.
"When did he know?" Conan asked, grabbing Tanigawa's sleeve.
"After I knew it." Tanigawa said with a smile.
Conan's last bit of hope also disappeared, so Haibara knew that she was a high school student since she entered school.
He pretended to be an elementary school student, and Huibara saw it all.
No wonder she kept looking at me and grinning. I thought she was born to love laughing.
"Didn't I tell you not to tell anyone?" Conan grabbed Tanigawa's collar, wanting to live in another world with him.
"Ai is not someone else." Tanigawa said as a matter of course.
Conan scratched his head.
"How can you tell this kind of thing to a primary school student?"
"I'm afraid that after I die, Xiao Ai won't know who my enemy is."
Conan was silent, and felt as if his conscience had suffered tens of thousands of critical hits.
Damn it, I didn't protect my own identity. And Tanigawa just told his sister, who am I to blame him?
"Snapped!"
"Conan, don't hurt yourself!" Tanigawa grabbed Conan's hand as he was about to slap himself.
"Tanigawa, please don't stop me. This will make me feel better."
After Conan had calmed down some of the pangs of conscience, he continued speaking.
"It's great that you can restore your innocence, even though I couldn't help you much." Conan touched his hair which was already a little messy.
"It's important that you can come to help me."
Woo woo woo, Tanigawa, my Tanigawa, my considerate Tanigawa!
"Conan, what about the list of thirty people I gave you?" asked Tanigawa.
"Well, I haven't been looking for those people lately because I've been contacting my father's friends to inquire about you." Conan said.
Tanigawa frowned.
Conan has actually learned to be lazy. If you keep being lazy, when will I be able to replace Gin?
"Conan, we can't be slow in investigating these people. We are now racing with that organization. If we are one step slower, we will gain nothing." Tanigawa said dissatisfiedly.
"I understand." Conan nodded touchedly.
Tanigawa just got out of prison, but he's already worrying about the organization's affairs. He cares more about it than I do.
……
As a detective who often investigates extramarital affairs, Kogoro Mori has good anti-detection capabilities.
He always felt that someone was following him recently. The feeling was very strong and did not seem like an illusion, but he just couldn't catch the person who was following him.
"Could it be that those people are causing trouble for me because I was investigating an affair before?" Kogoro Mouri stood in a long line in front of a store, looking around to see if there were any suspicious people.
"I finally bought it, Miss Yoko Okino's record, which also includes Miss Yoko Okino's co-branded handkerchief and scarf. It's the last one, I'm so lucky." Kogoro Mouri shouted excitedly at the door without caring about his image, making a group of people behind him look at him enviously.
Among those envious people was a man in a black windbreaker.
"Well, it's very rude, but could you please sell me the handkerchief inside?" The man in the black windbreaker looked at Kogoro Mouri with expectation.
"Impossible, I waited in line for a long time to buy this." Of course Kogoro Mouri refused.
His legs were sore from waiting in line, how could he possibly sell it to others?
"I'm usually very busy. This time I finally had the chance to queue up to buy Yoko Okino's record. I don't know if I'll have time to buy it next time it's released. I'm willing to pay three times the price just to buy a handkerchief."
Vodka uses sympathy and money to try to buy a handkerchief.
Today I received an order from my eldest brother to kidnap Kogoro Mori. It just so happens that this guy is a fan of Yoko Okino, so I have a reason to queue up with him to buy her records.
Unfortunately, the record was sold out.
When he heard the price was three times higher, Kogoro Maori was a little tempted.
Besides, they were just buying a handkerchief, so I could keep the record and the scarf.
"Since you're so pitiful, I'll sell it to you," said Kogoro Mouri.
"Thank you, how about I treat you to a drink?" Vodka grinned.
When he heard someone invite him to drink, Kogoro Mori, who was addicted to alcohol, naturally would not refuse.
When they arrived at the bar, Vodka was holding the record that Maori Kogoro had bought and looked down at him. In front of Maori Kogoro, there was a blond man holding a pistol.
The blond man's hair was mixed with a few silver strands.
"Who are you?" Kogoro Mori said in pain.
"'Sleeping Kogoro'? Or should I call you a criminal planner?" Gin looked down at Kogoro.
"I have no idea what you are talking about. I have a close relationship with Inspector Megure from the Investigation Division. I advise you to let me go as soon as possible." said Kogoro Mouri.
"You have close ties with the police and are a detective. I'm afraid no one would believe you if someone said you were a criminal planner." Gin looked at Kogoro Mouri with admiration.
It would be a pity for such a talent not to join the organization.
"Join us or die, including your family."
Gin threw down a few photos.
Kogoro Mouri picked it up and saw his daughter Ran, his wife Eri Kissing, and the little kid who lived in his house on it.
"I'm really not a 'criminal planner'." Kogoro Mouri said bitterly.
Did you catch the wrong person? I'm just an ordinary detective.
"You still don't plan to join us?" Gin stared at him coldly.
Kogoro Mori heard the sound of a pistol being loaded.
"I am the criminal planner and I am willing to join the organization!" Kogoro Mouri said loudly.
Be polite to them first, and then call the police after you leave.
Gin seemed to see what Kogoro Mori was thinking and turned to warn him.
"Don't even think about calling the police. The organization's sniper rifles will be faster than your mouth. Vodka, take him to the training ground and test his abilities."
"Yes!"
Vodka nodded respectfully, then put his arm around Kogoro Maori's shoulder and walked towards the basement with a malicious smile on his face.
As an outsider member, it's not too much to give me the records you bought as a gift, right?
