Bodhisattva looked at Zhang Xiaofan with compassion and kindness. Zhang Xiaofan met Bodhisattva's gaze in a daze. It seemed that he saw an unspeakable grand scene in her eyes.
Ten thousand Buddhas pay homage to the Pure Land of lapis lazuli, the sounds of Zen and the incense of sandalwood. It is neither dirty nor clean, solemn, pure, and glorious. It has unique shapes and colors, is extremely subtle and wonderful, beyond measure, and is all of true golden color.
There are hundreds of thousands of billions of Buddha-lands, as numerous as the grains of sand in the Ganges, and cannot be measured.
"Is this... Buddha?" Zhang Xiaofan muttered to himself.
This was also the most kind look he had received since he revealed the Tianyin technique.
Just join Buddhism and become a monk?
Zhang Xiaofan was a little hesitant. He couldn’t even understand why the other party wanted to accept him when they had clearly denied his qualifications at the beginning.
Could it be that you feel pity for him?
Of course not.
Bodhisattva seemed to see through his thoughts. Looking at the somewhat dull Zhang Xiaofan, he said, "Some people are born with poor aptitude for cultivating immortals, but that doesn't mean there is really no way. Just like becoming a Buddha, it depends on one's heart and even perseverance. Of course, aptitude is also indispensable."
"You have a strong heart and perseverance. If you join our Buddhist sect, you will achieve great success in the future. It will not be difficult for you to become the leader of a Buddhist Pure Land."
Unlike the immortal sect, the Buddhist sect requires wisdom. Although Zhang Xiaofan is dull, he is the lucky son of the Qingyun world. Even though he has been suppressed by Zhang Xiaochun and has lost his original brilliance, he can still make a difference after entering Buddhism.
"Donor Zhang, do you have any intention of entering Buddhism?"
Bodhidharma didn't even ask Tian Buyi, Zhang Xiaofan's real master.
To be fair, Daoxuan was not willing to keep Zhang Xiaofan in Qingyun Sect, but now that a proper place has finally appeared and there is a solution, he is extremely happy.
But in the end it was just his wish. If Zhang Xiaofan didn't want to, even Daoxuan could do nothing about it. Because of Zhang Xiaochun, Qingyun had no choice but to stay in frustration.
"Xiao Fan..."
Lin Jingyu showed worry. Having just learned the truth, he was almost indifferent to Buddhist cultivation. He was somewhat reluctant to let Zhang Xiaofan enter Buddhism, but no matter how reluctant he was, he could not make a decision for Zhang Xiaofan.
Zhang Xiaofan couldn't help but look at Tian Buyi with a worried look. He wanted to shake his head and tell him not to choose that path, but he felt a little embarrassed.
Tian Buyi can be said to be one of the people who truly cares about Zhang Xiaofan. If Zhang Xiaofan's future is delayed because of his own reasons, he, as a master, would probably feel bad too.
But Tian Buyi still gritted his teeth and said stubbornly: "Isn't it just teaching an apprentice? I will naturally find a way to make my apprentice a useful person."
Puxin's eyes remained calm throughout, and he looked at Tian Buyi with a faint smile. Although his expression was normal, his silence explained everything.
Apart from Qingyun Sect, the next best thing is Tianyin Temple, which is even less of a place to go, because Puzhi, who taught Zhang Xiaofan the martial arts, is already a sinner. What's more, he hates Tianyin Temple and is taking his anger out on it.
The Tianyin skills remaining on his body even made him feel extremely disgusted. After all, it was his relic.
Yuan Yin then said, "Donor Zhang, I heard that your brother is extremely talented and is now the young leader of Qingyun Sect. He will be the leader of the righteous sect in the future."
"If you join my Buddhist sect, you may be able to keep pace with him in the future. By then, your brother and I will be in charge of the righteous path. What will it be like?"
"You will no longer be a burden to your brother, and don't you want to help your brother?"
After the words were spoken, Puxin and Yuanyin smiled at each other.
Hearing the word "burden", Zhang Xiaochun clenched his fists tightly. Over the years, due to his lack of qualifications, he was far inferior to his younger brother Zhang Xiaochun.
As an older brother, he still needs his younger brother to take care of him.
Zhang Xiaofan couldn't help but look at Tian Buyi who was standing beside him and said, "Master, I..."
Tian Buyi finally sighed and said, "Choose according to what you want in your heart. Remember, Dazhu Peak will always be your home." Zhang Xiaofan's eyes also turned red at this time, and then he faced everyone's gaze. This time, Zhang Xiaofan was not timid, but met Bodhisin's gaze, with a bit of persistence and stubbornness, and said, "Master, Xiaofan is willing to follow you to practice Buddhism."
The young man bowed deeply. As for Tian Buyi, who was looking at him from behind, his eyes were extremely complicated, and also a little relieved.
After Zhang Xiaofan bowed down, an infinite Buddha light emerged from the body of Monk Bodhisattva, and turned into Sanskrit sounds chanted in all directions. The Buddhist sounds came from far away, as if coming from the west, and no one knew where their source was.
This kind of powerful Buddhist cultivator was the first time that all the cultivators present had seen one. Even the Tianyin Temple, which was famous for its Buddhist cultivators, had a gleam of yearning in its eyes.
It is said in the Buddhist scriptures that there is a Pure Land in the West, which is a place of supreme Dharma, and the Buddha is in it. In a trance, the monk Pu De really thought that it was the Buddha who came here.
All the monks present were watching, and when the golden light shone, they inexplicably felt their minds clear and bright. Bathed in the Buddha's light, their bodies and minds felt extremely comfortable.
Buddhism and Taoism have different paths but the same goal, which is to become an immortal or a Buddha. Therefore, none of the cultivators present would reject the Buddha's light that carries such spiritual energy.
And where the Buddha's light was shrouded, there was a young boy kneeling on the ground.
Zhang Xiaofan, who was enveloped by the Buddha's light, felt that something in his body was beginning to disappear and was slowly dissolving, but he did not feel any rejection at all. Instead, he felt more and more relaxed as time went on.
It's like breaking free from shackles!
Pull open the golden rope and open the jade lock!
Today I know that I am me!
Zhang Xiaofan was even more immersed in the Sanskrit sound. He slowly closed his eyes, and his face began to calm down, without any fear.
He straightened his body in the golden light, and unconsciously clasped his hands in front of his chest, feeling calm and peaceful, as if he had forgotten all his worries.
As the golden light descended, the boy's image was changing to the naked eye and was directly revealed in front of people.
The attire of a Qingyun disciple turned into the robes of a Buddhist disciple in the blink of an eye, and his three thousand long black hair turned into the appearance of a bodhisattva.
The next moment, a faint Buddhist seal appeared on his forehead. No matter if they were from Tianyin Temple or Qingyun Sect, everyone present could feel that the young man's internal energy had disappeared completely.
In the blink of an eye, he transformed from a disciple of an immortal sect into a young Buddhist monk in plain clothes. He looked more like a monk than the Tianyin Temple nearby. He had kind eyes, a smile on his lips, and a pair of eyes that always revealed a sense of peace.
"Amitabha, all donors, please take a look. This boy no longer has any skills from any other sect. Are you satisfied with this?"
At this time, not only the traces of Tai Chi Xuanqing Dao practice on Zhang Xiaofan's body disappeared, but even the Mahabrahma Prajna technique passed down by Puzhi disappeared completely. Bodhi heart eliminated not only the two techniques in Zhang Xiaofan's body, but also the memory of his practice.
Only in this way can one be truly pure and free from worries, and eliminate all entanglements with other sects.
Taoism emphasizes good causes and bad consequences, but Buddhism is different. Because they practice the law of cause and effect, they are even more afraid of being entangled in cause and effect. Those who finally become Buddhas will wash away everything on their bodies before they can ascend to the Western Pure Land.
But because of this, Buddhists do not believe in cause and effect, and therefore the four elements are empty.
In ancient times, the Buddha cut off his flesh to feed an eagle, without asking for anything in return, repaying evil with kindness. However, who could have known that perhaps in his previous life, the Buddha inadvertently owed this dying eagle a debt of karma.
There is a theory in Buddhism about nine difficulties, which says that the Buddha received nine difficulties as retribution in order to repay the karma of his previous life.
There is reincarnation in the underworld. If you are a human in one life, it is impossible to be an adult in every life. Therefore, there will be retribution for the cause and effect. If you cannot repay it in this life, you will have to wait until the second life after reincarnation to make up for it.
It is said that one can become a Buddha after accumulating good deeds over ten lifetimes. In Buddhism, one lifetime is called one phase, which lasts for one thousand years in the human world. Two lifetimes and two phases last for three thousand years in the human world, and so on.
Bodhisattva looked at Zhang Xiaofan, who had transformed from a young boy into a young monk in the golden light, and could not help but show satisfaction in his eyes. As he thought, he was indeed a man with Buddhist wisdom. It was worth it for him to take the risk of offending Taoist Brother Yujing and get him.
In the future, he will surely add another Buddha to the Western religion! (End of this chapter)
