Chapter 40 ends with Nick Fury’s methods!
In the evening, inside the interrogation room.
"I don't understand what you are talking about!"
Sitting in a chair in the interrogation room, Senator Murdoch spread his hands and said, "As a senator from Austin, it is my responsibility to make Austin's economy more prosperous."
"It was I who introduced the Bryans you are talking about to Mr. Collins Mack."
"But the purpose was only to facilitate cooperation between the two parties. I didn't even receive a penny of commission in the process."
"You can check my account for this. I think this proves my starting point, which is just to make Austin a better place!"
"As for the attack on Mr. Kolok Moses, I deeply regret it."
At this point, Senator Murdoch leaned back in his chair and said, "I did visit him, but it was just out of courtesy, except to ask him to take care of himself."
"The rest didn't say anything, let alone threaten!"
"As for the disappearance of Mr. and Mrs. Brian and the dissolution of the registered company, I was not aware of it. After all, I am not a businessman!"
"You arrested me without any evidence. I will definitely file a complaint against you for this!"
Outside the interrogation room, listening to Congressman Murdoch's words.
Nick Fury said to Coulson: "Can the account book you mentioned be used as evidence?"
"It's difficult for Councillor Murdoch, but that Mayor James Rondeau should be able to do it."
In response to Nick Fury's question, Coulson said seriously, "Although it cannot be used as evidence to prove that James Rondo has any connection with the organization behind the orcs."
“But the account books provided by Mr. Collins Mac clearly record that James Rondo has been running for the election since he announced his candidacy.”
"Of all the campaign funds that were received from Mr. Collins, a significant portion of them were not legitimate donations."
"According to the law enacted by Congress, this use of campaign funds through abnormal fundraising channels can be considered illegal campaigning!"
At this point, Coulson looked at Nick Fury with some hesitation: "Director Fury, in fact, you should have seen the account book, so you should know that there is no one except James Rondo."
"There are many people recorded in the account book. Once the wide range of people involved is exposed, then..."
"I know!"
Listening to Coulson's hesitation, Nick Fury glanced at Senator Murdoch in the interrogation room.
Then he turned around and said as he walked, "Let's finish it. Use the account book to get James Rondo off the mayor's throne. As long as he is no longer the mayor, time is on our side!"
"Besides, there will never be anyone in this world who disappears without a sound."
"Whether it's the emptied lab or the Bryans, archive them all. They will definitely show up again!"
"Yes!"
Hearing Nick Fury's order, Coulson nodded immediately.
"By the way, Chief, we were attacked by an unknown base in the valley on our way from New York to Austin."
"there.."
Nick Fury didn't stop when Coulson mentioned this.
Instead, he continued as he walked: "The base hidden in the valley has been completely destroyed. There is not even a single piece of information left."
"The technicians are repairing the completely destroyed data, but the only thing they can find is the data on the missiles they purchased."
At this point, Nick Fury sneered: "In the repaired data, the seller of those missiles turned out to be Stark Industries!"
"And the time was actually a year ago. I asked Stark to check, and found that there was no such transaction in the records!"
Hearing the director's words, Coulson smiled and said nothing.
Everyone knows that ever since Tony Stark was rescued from the Middle East desert.
Stark Industries' weapons manufacturing department has been permanently closed.
Therefore, the sale and purchase of missiles could not naturally be done by Stark Industries.
This is obviously a frame-up. I just don't know if other information can be repaired.
If possible, maybe we can find more things!
The next morning, inside the Quinjet!
Looking at the orc sitting there obediently.
Qin Yang sat on a chair and ate an orange and asked Coulson, "What are you going to do with him?"
Hearing Qin Yang's question, the orc Drake also looked at Coulson.
He also wanted to know how SHIELD would deal with him.
It shouldn’t be sliced into pieces for research!
"He will be interrogated first, and after confirming everything he knows, he will be locked up in a special cell designed by SHIELD!"
As he said that, Coulson looked at the orc and smiled: "Drek, although according to what you said, everything you did was not voluntary."
"But after all, you killed so many..."
"I understand!"
Before Coulson could finish, the orc Drake immediately said, "Then lock me up. This should be the best outcome for me. Don't worry, I will tell you whatever you want to know!"
"I don't want to be controlled by others anymore and become a beast that only knows how to kill. That's a very unpleasant feeling!"
At this point, the orc Drake looked at Qin Yang and said, "Can you give me another orange?"
Derek didn't know what was going on with Qin Yang.
Apart from the fear left in my heart after the beating.
Even a little bit of... gratitude?
Damn, this is not Stockholm syndrome!
Taking the orange handed over by Qin Yang, the orc Drake thanked him and threw it into his mouth.
After eating a petal, Derek looked up at Qin Yang in surprise: "Sweet? Did you buy it at Aunt Barbara's fruit stand on the First Main Street?"
In response to Derek's question, Qin Yang nodded but said nothing.
Until the Quinjet landed and Drake was about to be taken away by the SHIELD.
Qin Yang took out a bag of oranges from the Quinjet and handed it to him.
Looking at Qin Yang's back as he left.
The orc Drake looked down at the orange in his hand again.
It's confirmed that I do feel some gratitude towards him in my heart.
He...is a good person!
Following Qin Yang, the smile on Coulson's face never disappeared.
He knew that Qin Yang had specially gone to the First Main Street and bought that bag of oranges for the orc Drake from the old woman's fruit stall.
Although I didn't quite understand what Qin Yang meant when he said to me, "Stay where you are, I'm going to buy a few pounds of oranges."
But after so many years at S.H.I.E.L.D., Coulson has seen too much of the dark side of this world.
So Coulson likes to be around kind people.
Looking at Qin Yang and Melinda, Coulson smiled and said, "It's time for lunch. I know a very good restaurant in New York!"
Hearing Coulson's words, Qin Yang and Melinda both smiled and nodded.
Simmons even shouted "Long live Coulson".
Fitz, who was standing next to Simmons, hesitated for a moment, and finally plucked up the courage to hold Simmons' hand.
Looking at Simmons' smiling face looking at him, Fitz also grinned.
It’s another beautiful day!
