Chapter 475: Cause and Effect, Good and Evil Will Not Be Rewarded

They just gave up the cause and effect of the mortal world and ascended to the immortal world to live freely."

Yu Xian said: "As the saying goes, good is rewarded with good, evil is rewarded with evil. If you break the will of heaven, you will be doomed. If you follow the will of heaven, you will be rewarded with blessings. This is also the reason why I, the righteous Taoist, practice external skills with great effort."

"However, the world has changed, cause and effect are no longer in place, good and evil are not rewarded, and the demons who usually commit evil deeds are punished by thunder and lightning as soon as they leave the cave. But in recent days, a big change has suddenly occurred, and the power of the thunder has weakened to almost nothing, causing countless demonic thieves to appear one after another."

"In the territory of our Xuanyuan Sect alone, there are dozens of roaming demons. If we hadn't dealt with them properly, many of them would have been caught and killed by our disciples. I'm afraid that it would have caused countless disasters. I'm sure you fellows should have discovered this."

The people below nodded, and one of them said, "What Master Yuxian said is true. There is an old demon born near my Chongxiao Cave. He was struck by thunder all the way. In the past, he would have been reduced to ashes, but now he is forcibly resisting the thunder and flying away. If it is beneficial to heaven, heaven and earth will reward you with external merits. If you damage heaven and earth, you will be suspected of not respecting the destiny of heaven, and natural disasters will come to you. In fact, it is based on heaven, not on people. Otherwise, the cultivators would not have to work so hard to seek external merits. They only need to focus on the injustices and grievances in the world. It is not like now where there is a distinction between immortals and mortals, and they can let things develop as they please.

Now the practitioners have no merits and will add more sins. Therefore, most practitioners are bound by their hands and feet, have no freedom, and do not easily form cause and effect. They seem to be free in the world, but in fact they imprison themselves in the fairy mountain, and draw a circle on the ground as a prison, for fear of being entangled by cause and effect.

If you want to save someone, you have to calculate their past and present lives. Only those who are blessed by heaven will do business that will not lose money. If you want to kill someone, you have to calculate whether their luck has run out. If it is true that good and evil will be rewarded in the end, when you see a wicked person doing evil, you can just pick up your weapon and kill him with a sword. There is no need to beat around the bush.

If there is no retribution for cause and effect and no cycle of karma continues, it will instead remove the shackles from the practitioners. From then on, they are no longer bound by cause and effect and do not know whether it is a blessing or a curse.

Master Liaokong of Putuo Temple chanted a Buddhist name: "I have also made some discoveries, so I came to Xuanyuan Sect to look for Taoist friend Yuxian. Now there are still a few stubborn demons detained in my temple, waiting for me to return to use Buddhist teachings to save their evil spirits and let them join my Buddhist sect."

If it were not for the fact that the Buddhist sect and the demon path are in opposite directions, they would not be contaminated by any impurities and only seek to be pure and peaceful. If it were not for the monks who do good deeds and accumulate virtues, always talk about compassion and associate with the righteous and mysterious sects, this method of confusing the mind would be a nuisance to the demon path. Even so, there are some rebellious novice monks and old monks who practice evil Buddhism. Once they fall into the demon path, they break free from the shackles and shackles, and thrive in the demon sect, feeling more comfortable than in their own home.

However, no immortal dared to speak out the statement that Buddha and the devil are one. Not to mention that Buddhism has great influence in the mortal world and countless believers, there are countless true Buddhas and evil monks in the Buddhist and devil sects. If this continues, the country will be in danger, and all living beings will be in danger. The Tao will disappear and the demons will increase. The people will suffer, disputes will arise, and all things will collapse. We still need all of you to work together, put aside your past grudges, and take action together to suppress this demonic force and restore a clear sky."

Having said this, all the immortals naturally agreed in unison, saying that it was all right. They were all excited and started to criticize verbally and in writing, as if they had already gained the upper hand and could suppress the demons and monsters with just a flick of their hand.

"After I joined forces with the immortals to investigate, I discovered that the destiny had changed," Yu Xian paused and said, "Most of the destiny of heaven and earth was constantly changing, and gradually fell into the mortal world, creating a group of people with destiny."

"After discussing with Feng Yang and other fellow Taoists and gathering intelligence, I realized that the world is very different now. The fate that has fallen into the hands of mortals has helped to increase their luck, which can be called dragon energy. Now the dragon is dormant in the abyss, waiting for the right time to jump out of the abyss to compete for power."

"I see that the mortal court has run out of luck. In a short time, the world will be in chaos, and various forces will come to the fore and fight against each other. I am afraid that cultivators like us will also be dragged into it and will not be able to be free."

He sighed, "What a troubled time!"
