Chapter 6: Darkness of the Rainfall (6)
Thanks to various Marvel movies in later generations, Lu Mingfei is quite familiar with the image of Odin, the lord of Norse mythology.
But why does such a god exist in the Nibelung?
The man obviously saw the Lord of Norse mythology, but he had no intention of slowing down. Instead, he continued to step on the accelerator.
In his previous life, Caesar had severely damaged Norton, the King of Bronze and Fire, with a 2.6-ton storm torpedo at a speed of 200 nautical miles in the Three Gorges Dam.
Now this 2.7-ton Maybach is heading straight towards Odin at a speed close to 150 nautical miles.
Even if the opponent is as powerful as the first generation Dragon King, being hit head-on by a Maybach like this would not be easy!
But the problem is that Lu Mingfei and his companions do not have bodies comparable to those of gods. Even if they are hybrids, and all aspects of their physical qualities have been strengthened to the limits of human beings by dragon blood... they are still human beings.
If the Maybach hits Odin, Odin might be seriously injured... but they will definitely die!
Lu Mingfei suddenly understood that the man was gambling, betting that Odin would not dare to take the impact of the Maybach head-on, and would choose to make way for them.
Damn it, why does Kassel College only produce crazy people!
Lu Mingfei held on to the roof handrail tightly, and seeing the Maybach getting closer and closer to Odin, when there was only a dozen meters left, he finally couldn't help but shout the little devil's name.
"Lu Mingze!"
Lu Mingze did not show up, and Odin did not move aside.
When the two were about to collide, the eight-legged horse under Odin suddenly raised its front hooves high.
In an instant, the rain from all around gathered in front of Odin, and the water flowed back like a waterfall, hitting the front of Maybach.
In just a few meters, Maybach's huge kinetic energy was completely dissipated.
Fortunately, their bones were strengthened with dragon blood, so their cervical vertebrae were not broken by the reaction force of the reversing vehicle.
The moment the water pushed the Maybach out, a group of dark shadows also walked out from behind Odin.
The pale face and empty eyes are the same Deadpool as before.
They surrounded the Maybach on all sides, completely encircling Lu Mingfei and the others.
"How dare you crash into the throne of God." Odin's voice came from the front like a bell.
"You probably haven't passed the driving test and don't know how to drive, so you don't know that traffic accidents are most likely to happen on rainy days. The road is slippery and it's hard to stop the car."
The man got out of the car holding a long knife in one hand and holding Chu Zihang's wrist with the other, and said lightly:
"It's okay. This car has the maximum amount of insurance. If you get hurt, you can tell me. After determining the liability, I will help you get reimbursed by the insurance company."
"How dare you!" Odin's voice seemed to come from far away, and he obviously did not buy into the man's joke.
"You can't even take a joke. How boring." The man shrugged. "Don't you just want that thing? No problem. As long as you let us go, we can give it to you."
He turned around and touched Chu Zihang's head, then said to Chu Zihang and Lu Mingfei:
"There's a black box in the trunk with a silver mark on it. Help me get it out."
Chu Zihang nodded, and Lu Mingfei trotted after him. He opened the trunk, and there was indeed a black suitcase inside.
Lu Mingfei recognized that the silver mark on the box was very similar to the school emblem of Kassel College.
The only difference is that the emblem of Kassel Academy is a half-rotten world tree, while the one engraved on the silver mark is a lush world tree.
Chu Zihang handed the box to the man. The moment he took the box, the man suddenly whispered to the two of them:
"You didn't listen to me many times before, but you must listen to me this time. Remember, don't get too far away from me, and don't get too close to me. When I tell you to run, run towards the car and don't look back."
"Yeah," Chu Zihang replied tremblingly.
"If you have any questions, ask Lu classmate after you go out... Of course, if possible, I hope you will never ask."
Lu Mingfei suddenly had a feeling that after tonight, both he and Chu Zihang would most likely never see a man again.
The man is like an ancient soldier about to go to the front line, knowing that his life is about to fade away, and bidding a final farewell to his son at home.
It turns out that Lu Mingze's funeral song was for men, Lu Mingfei thought.
For a moment, Lu Mingfei really wanted to make a deal with Lu Mingze.
But just now when the Maybach was about to hit Odin, he had actually tried to call Lu Mingze, but he did not show up. Moreover, before that, Lu Mingze had said that he would not trade with him this time.
While Lu Mingfei was hesitating, the dark shadows had already surrounded them and carried several people forward.
They whispered to each other, their pronunciations strange and rhythmic, as if they were speaking some ancient language.
Although Lu Mingfei didn't understand, he vaguely recalled that this language was very similar to the language that Professor Guderian had once spoken to him.
Is it dragon language?
Lu Mingfei didn’t understand, but Chu Zihang gradually understood what these deadpools were saying.
"Seeing humans again..."
"That child's bloodline..."
"Such mouth-watering flesh and blood..."
"..."
They stopped about a hundred meters away from Odin. The man held the long knife with his right hand behind his back and raised the box above his head with his left hand.
"Here's what you want."
Odin's voice came over: "Then, come and see me, human."
"But I feel like even if I give you the things, you won't let us go."
"I promise you life. God never lies to mortals."
"Do you mean turning into a deadpool like them?"
"You two have far superior bloodlines than them. You will be even more powerful."
"..."
The man looked back at Lu Mingfei strangely.
"No room for negotiation?" The man raised his eyebrows.
“You should feel honored to be a servant of God.”
The man sighed, and suddenly turned around and approached Chu Zihang: "Son, I heard that you are a center in the city team and are very good at breaking through defense?"
Chu Zihang nodded nervously.
"Ask Lu if you don't understand something. Remember every word I told you."
As the man spoke, he took the box from Chu Zihang and stroked Chu Zihang's head with a rare doting expression.
The next moment, the man's expression suddenly changed, and he slapped Lu Mingfei and Chu Zihang on their buttocks in turn: "Kids, run!"
Chu Zihang turned around and ran towards the car like crazy, and Lu Mingfei followed behind him, covering his butt and saying "ouch".
It has been a long time since Chu Zihang believed what the man said.
But on this rainy night, he held the man's warm hand and suddenly became a child who depended on his father.
The man threw the suitcase at Odin, and the suitcase seemed to be flesh and blood attracting hungry wolves.
Countless black shadows rushed towards the box, while others chased after the fleeing people.
The man ran back with Chu Zihang and Lu Mingfei, but perhaps because he was middle-aged, he did not run as fast as them and the distance between him and the two children gradually widened.
The man looked at Chu Zihang's back getting farther and farther away, and a smile suddenly appeared at the corner of his mouth:
"You run really fast, little bunnies."
He suddenly stopped, turned around, and swung his sword. The sword light cut out a crescent-shaped arc in the rain.
