Chapter 16 The Past of the Dandy

The girl entered the kitchen and could no longer be seen, but Luo Ye kept looking in that direction and did not come back to his senses for a long time.

The bartender handed over two glasses of brandy, and Lin Yi and Luo Ye drank them both in one gulp.

Luo Ye wanted to refill his glass, but Lin Yi reminded him, "Brandy has a high alcohol content. Don't drink too much, or you'll feel uncomfortable."

Luo Ye paused for a moment and ordered another cup: "It's not my first time drinking. I've drunk a lot."

After a while, two more glasses of brandy were handed to the two of them, but this time they did not drink them all in one gulp.

Luo Ye held the wine glass without moving. Lin Yi took a sip and started the conversation: "You and that girl seem to know each other?"

Luo Ye simply answered with two words, raised his glass and drank half of it.

After a moment of silence, he opened up under the stimulation of alcohol: "Her name is Xia Muyu, we have known each other since elementary school. When I was a child, I lived with my grandmother and went to ordinary schools."

"What a coincidence! She and I have been in the same class since elementary school. I was naughty at the time, so the teacher arranged for me to sit next to her, who was quiet."

As Luo Ye spoke, a smile appeared on his face, which had turned red due to alcohol: "I think I made her cry a few times. After that, I would buy her candy to promise not to bully her and just ask her not to cry. But after a month or two, I would feel itchy again."

"That kind of life continued until we graduated from elementary school. I don't know if it was fate or something else, but we went to the same junior high school and later the same high school, and we have been classmates ever since."

"In high school, when I was full of passion, I confessed my love to the girl I had 'bullied' for ten years. I remember she blushed for the whole day, and then she whispered a word to me after school that I will never forget."

"I hate my parents. I didn't listen to them. I chose the same university as Xia Muyu, Sucheng University. They asked me to go on blind dates with selected women, but I never went. They urged me to get married, but I just didn't want to!"

After saying this, Luo Ye drank the rest of the brandy in the glass and ordered another one.

Lin Yi, who had been listening nearby, took a sip and said, "I met Xia Muyu several times when I went to that noodle shop before. She seemed to be alone all the time."

Lin Yi didn't say anything else. After drinking two more cups with Luo Ye, the other party couldn't hold on any longer.

Lin Yi helped Luo Ye out of the bar, called a car, and took him back to school.

When Luo Ye sat down in the chair, he teased Lin Yi with a smile: "You can drink so much, you have been hiding it all along."

Lin Yi smiled and replied: "My parents are both civil servants, is it abnormal that I can drink well?"

After chatting for a while, Lin Yi left the school and took a taxi home.

By the time he arrived at the gate of the community, he was even more drunk. Although his mind was still clear, he was a little unsteady when he walked.

Luo Qinghan rushed out and collided directly with him.
