Chapter 65: Bustling Governor's Mansion
Late at night, clouds cover the moon and the wind brings silence to the ground.
In the East Flower Hall, Li Qingxia received a message from Yu Feng and learned that everything was arranged. The burden in her heart seemed to be lightened a little, and she fell asleep peacefully.
A black shadow passed through the window frame silently, quietly entered Li Qingxia's boudoir, and then gently closed the window, as if no one had ever been there.
Hu Jinghui tiptoed to Li Qingxia's bed and called softly, "Alan... wake up."
Li Qingxia was a light sleeper to begin with. When she heard the voice, she sat up suddenly and asked alertly, "Who?"
Hu Jinghui quickly comforted her softly: "It's me."
Li Qingxia recognized Hu Jinghui's voice, breathed a sigh of relief, and whispered, "Ah Hui, why are you here?"
Hu Jinghui hesitated for a moment, and finally said: "Alan, there are some things I know you don't want to hear, but I still want to say it."
Li Qingxia frowned immediately upon hearing this: "You're going to persuade me to give up again, right?"
Hu Jinghui nodded and said earnestly, "Yes. I don't understand why you want to take the risk. Liu Jin's previous experience is still before our eyes. Why don't you learn from it?"
"Haha, you overestimate Di Renjie. He didn't doubt me. I have already discovered his weakness, and relying on my identity as a member of the royal family of Li, I easily deceived him. I don't think he is anything more than that." Li Qingxia sneered disdainfully.
Faced with Li Qingxia's confidence, Hu Jinghui was speechless.
Seeing Hu Jinghui's silence, Li Qingxia pleaded, "Ah Hui, I need you. Please rejoin our plan. I can give you command of all the troops in the city. As long as you are willing to help, we will succeed."
Hu Jinghui shook his head: "No, Alan, although I can't change your mind. But I will never help you rebel again. I promised Di Gong that I would never do evil again."
"You! What are you doing here? Get out of here! Get out of here!" Li Qingxia cursed.
Hu Jinghui took a deep breath and tried one last time: "Alan, please give up! It's too dangerous. If you fail, you will die."
"I tell you, everything is ready now. Even if I die, I will not give up! What's more, Di Renjie knows nothing about the situation. I think he is the one who will die!" Li Qingxia responded viciously.
"As for you, a coward, if you don't want to help, please don't appear in front of me again, so as not to reveal my identity!"
What else could Hu Jinghui say after Li Qingxia said this? He sighed and turned away.
Li Qingxia looked at Hu Jinghui's departing back and pounded the bed angrily: "Coward! Coward! Coward!"
-
Hu Jinghui left Li Qingxia's room with a heavy heart. He looked up at the moon covered by clouds in the sky, feeling mixed emotions.
Li Qingxia's words kept echoing in his mind: "I think he's the one who's going to die..."
Thinking of this, Hu Jinghui took a deep breath, came to the east wing of Donghua Hall where Li Yuanfang was, and knocked on the window gently.
Li Yuanfang was sitting cross-legged in the room concentrating. Hearing the noise, he stood up and chased out of the room.
The two chased each other all the way to the back garden, and Li Yuanfang recognized the black shadow as Hu Jinghui.
"General Tiger?" Li Yuanfang was a little surprised.
"Brother Yuanfang, how are you?" Hu Jinghui turned around slowly with a smile on his face.
Li Yuanfang smiled and nodded.
Hu Jinghui said solemnly: "I came to you tonight to remind you to protect the safety of adults."
Li Yuanfang was somewhat puzzled and asked, "General Hu, can you explain it more clearly?"
Hu Jinghui closed his eyes and sighed: "That's all I have to say. You must be careful!"
After saying this, he jumped up and immediately disappeared into the vast night.
Li Yuanfang watched Hu Jinghui walk away, and was confused. He couldn't figure it out, so he turned around and went back to his room to rest.
But when Li Yuanfang walked to Princess Yi Yang's room, he saw that the princess, who had fallen asleep, suddenly woke up again.
There were loud bangs in the room, and the light reflected Li Qingxia's figure smashing things.
Several guards stood in front of the door, looking inside curiously, each of them at a loss as to what to do.
Li Yuanfang hurried over and asked in a low voice, "What happened?"
The guards all shook their heads to indicate they didn't know: "I don't know, he just got sick all of a sudden."
Li Yuanfang thought for a moment, then walked to the door and asked, "Princess, are you okay?" Li Qingxia yelled from inside, "Get out!"
Then with a "bang", a bottle hit the door and broke into pieces.
Li Yuanfang was startled and listened carefully to the noise inside. It seemed that Li Qingxia was crying.
Li Yuanfang shook his head, not knowing what was wrong with the princess.
His face was livid, and he waved at the guards: "Let's go."
So all the guards went out of the courtyard.
Suddenly, the door of the East Flower Hall was pushed open, and Li Qingxia stood in front of the door with tears on her face.
"stop!"
Li Yuanfang was speechless and had to stop.
He turned around, put on a smiling face and said, "Princess, please continue smashing. I will be leaving soon." After saying that, he turned around and was about to leave.
Li Qingxia suddenly called Li Yuanfang: "Come in."
Li Yuanfang sighed helplessly, regretting that he had not used his Qinggong skills to fly away earlier.
He said "yes" reluctantly, turned around slowly, and walked towards the East Flower Hall with stiff movements.
The hall was in a mess, with no place to step.
Li Yuanfang walked in, stepping on broken pieces of porcelain, and asked, "Princess, who made you so angry?"
Li Qingxia quietly tidied up her messy clothes and then closed the door.
Li Yuanfang was shocked and said quickly, "Princess, this... is not a good idea."
"It's okay, just sit down." Li Qingxia smiled nervously.
"No, I dare not." Li Yuanfang lowered his head, not daring to look directly at Li Qingxia.
"Just sit down when I tell you to. Why are you talking so much nonsense?" Li Qingxia's tone suddenly changed.
Li Yuanfang raised his head suddenly: "No, no, I'd better stand." Then he quickly lowered his head.
He tried to keep his distance, but he heard Li Qingxia's gentle voice ringing in his ears: "Come here, I have something to tell you."
Li Yuanfang walked to Li Qingxia blankly, only to see her suddenly move closer, staring at him with burning eyes: "Tell me, am I pretty?"
Li Yuanfang was a pure and straight man who had never seen such a scene before. He quickly lowered his head and did not dare to look at her.
Li Qingxia moved closer and closer to Li Yuanfang: "Li Yuanfang, do you think I look good?"
Li Yuanfang felt her hot breath and his heartbeat accelerated instantly. He tried to push her away in panic, but was hugged tightly by Li Qingxia.
"Look at me." Li Qingxia ordered, with a hint of unusual tenderness in her voice.
Li Yuanfang quickly broke free again: "Princess, what's wrong with you?"
"Li Yuanfang, come here!" Li Qingxia's voice suddenly became sharp.
Li Yuanfang realized that Li Qingxia's behavior was abnormal at the moment. He did not dare to stay for long and decided to leave quickly.
"My Lord, I will take my leave. You should take a rest now."
"Come here!" Li Qingxia shouted.
Li Yuanfang ignored him, opened the door and left as if escaping.
The door slammed shut behind him, and Li Qingxia's crazy laughter was heard from the room.
Li Yuanfang stopped at the door for a moment, made sure that Li Qingxia had not done anything stupid, then turned and left.
