Chapter 204 Arrest
"The next morning, two policemen knocked on my door. The injuries on Xinuowei's body were consistent with rape. There were marks of strangulation on her wrists, as well as my semen."
"Damn, it all looks like I tied Sinovi to the bed and raped her, this damn bitch! She manipulated this whole thing."
"."
Chris listened to Tommy's complaints silently. She had specifically investigated this sexual assault case, and there was so much obvious evidence that Tommy raped Sinovi.
If she had been there, she would probably have felt that the evidence was sufficient to prove that Tommy had raped her.
She subconsciously thought of the Jonathan case, and her frowning brows never relaxed.
"Is this an illusion?"
This wonderful sense of coincidence made Chris take a deep breath and interrupt Tommy's complaints.
"Look, Tommy, it's hard to believe what you're saying with all this evidence."
When the sound of heavy breathing came from the phone, Chris continued without waiting for him to speak.
"But I believe what you said, sorry."
Tommy's breaths came long and he said, "I understand, Detective, but I wonder if I was helpful? For that poor man on TV."
"I think so, Tommy, thank you for your help." Chris said gently.
After hanging up the phone, Chris began to feel that there really seemed to be a pair of hands behind the scenes manipulating this case. She instinctively wanted to inform Gregory and Yorks and explain this important information.
But just then, Sheskey and Edna made exciting noises.
"Chris, found it." Edna's voice came, interrupting her progress.
"Come and see it quickly."
Chris stood up suddenly and strode towards the two of them.
"This car is definitely not from this area." Sheskey said in a deep voice. In front of him was a survey form filled with the types of vehicles near the scene, including license plate numbers.
Chris looked at the computer screen and followed Sheskey's instructions.
A black sedan appeared in the dim background of the screen. It first passed under the camera set up by Jonathan’s neighbor, drove outside, then passed the street camera outside the community, and continued to drive away.
"Stop." Chris said.
Shesky clicked the mouse and the computer screen stopped at the back of the car.
"Zoom in." Chris said.
Sheskey nodded and scrolled his mouse wheel to zoom in.
When the license plate clearly appeared in front of her, Chris looked at Edna: "Check whose name this car is in."
"Okay." Edna nodded, wrote down the license plate, left her seat, and started checking.
Chris stared at the car on the computer screen and took out her cell phone to call Gregory.
But a figure suddenly pushed the door open and rushed in, attracting everyone's attention.
It was Gregory or someone else who said in a deep voice, "We found the murder weapon."
-
The police car's sirens blared.
A few dozen meters away from the brown hut, Yorks sat in his leather car and watched the patrolmen who arrived earlier than Gregory rushed into the brown hut. He shook his head in his heart, pushed the lever, stepped on the accelerator and slowly left.
Gregory was still in the detective bureau, so he naturally needed the assistance of local patrol officers. Not long after Jonathan arrived at the brown cabin, this group of fierce patrol officers had already arrived.
Now, both the three envelopes containing clues and the murder weapon will be in front of Jonathan.
His mission has been completed, and he can only wait and see what happens next.
Although he had a hunch that Jonathan might not be the murderer, his intuition became powerless when faced with the facts.
The Free Country is a country that values evidence. Once all the evidence points to you, the cold-blooded detective will not care whether you are innocent or have some hidden secrets. If you want to survive, you can only find a way to find that glimmer of hope on your own.
-
Detective Bureau.
An interrogation room. The captured Jonathan sat in front of the table with an upset look on his face, and beside him was his lawyer who had rushed over.
Sitting in front of the two of them were Gregory and Chris, and it looked like a scene of confrontation.
"Officers, please don't ask irrelevant questions," the lawyer said calmly.
"You have to understand that Mr. Yonatan has the right to protect his own rights."
Gregory nodded, took out a small device and pressed a button on it.
"First, someone provided a piece of information saying that you had domestic violence against Sinovi."
Jonathan frowned: "Who."
"You should know who Dasha, Xinowei's friend, is. She's your neighbor," said Gregory.
The tape recorder began to play a conversation, all of which was Dasha's voice.
Everyone was talking about how familiar she was with Sinovi, but soon the topic began to change.
"One night, Sinovi suddenly came to my house with wounds on her face. My God, she looked like a poor little cat. She said that she was abused by Jonathan.
Detective, there is definitely something fishy about Sinovi's disappearance, and I suspect Jonathan."
During the whole process, Gregory and Chris were observing Jonathan, and saw that his face was full of confusion and anger.
"Damn it, I don't even know this person! I've never seen Xinowei interact with anyone. She's always hiding in her room, and the keyboard sounds are always ringing."
Gregory and Chris looked at each other and exchanged some information.
Jonathan's face was filled with grief and indignation. He wanted to say something, but the lawyer patted him on the back: "Mr. Jonathan, you don't have to answer in such detail."
Jonathan shut up immediately.
Gregory silently took out the photo of Sinovi and Dasha and said, "Perhaps you really don't know your wife very well."
Jonathan gritted his teeth and said, "If I knew, I wouldn't marry her."
"Detective," the lawyer said.
"OK." Gregory took a step back. Being able to talk face to face was already a very good situation.
Otherwise, most people would just let the lawyer speak.
"Do you remember when we came here that night? To be honest, we have seen many cases of burglary," Gregory looked at Jonathan and said.
"So when we came over, we felt something was wrong as soon as we saw the scene."
Jonathan did not answer.
"Except for the broken coffee table, everything in this place looks like it was deliberately put together." Gregory didn't care and continued talking, taking out the first photo from the file bag handed over by Chris.
"This is a photo taken at the scene at the first moment. You should be very familiar with it."
Jonathan took a glance and saw that the photo was exactly what he saw that day, a broken coffee table. It was because the coffee table was broken and he couldn't find Sinovi and her cell phone was turned off that he called the police.
"After a life-and-death struggle, only the coffee table fell over and shattered, while the rest of the body remained intact. Do you think it's possible?" Gregory said.
"Detective!" the lawyer said immediately.
But he was suppressed by Jonathan, who said in a deep voice: "I don't know what you mean, or what you are talking about?"
Gregory said calmly, "Did you clean the house the day your wife disappeared?"
Jonathan said, “No.”
Gregory continued to pull out photos from the file bag. "Our people did luminol tests and many other tests. Your kitchen is scary bright."
