Chapter 26 Toy Store
Looking at Taribo's miserable appearance, Yorks could only say something and waved his hand.
"Ok, I'll save my stomach for eating."
After getting the response, Taribo's miserable look disappeared instantly. He smiled and raised his right hand and waved it as if to shoo away a fly.
“Work hard!”
"I curse you to have a nightmare tonight!" York said viciously, turned around and left with Kino who was like a transparent man.
In the back, Taribo looked at the disappearing York and the other man and said softly:
"I have a wife and children, so I won't have nightmares!"
But as if he had thought of something, Taribo couldn't help shuddering and cursing inwardly.
"F***, why do I keep thinking about it? Forget it! Forget it now!"
-
In the black and white Chevrolet Caprice.
While fastening his seat belt, Kino looked at York in the driver's seat.
"I really didn't expect that a patrolman's day in the life would be so colorful."
Yorks fastened his seat belt, glanced at Gino who was suddenly emotional, and picked up the walkie-talkie connected to the radio.
"So you regret it?"
"That's not the case." Jinuo said:
"I suddenly understand why you like being a patrolman. If I put myself in your shoes, I don't think you appear to be very mature and law-abiding, but in fact you are someone who likes excitement, right?"
"I think you could change your career," York said.
Jino asked curiously, "What's your profession?"
"Psychologist." York responded casually, ignoring Jino's expression and pressing the intercom button.
"10-A-11, resume patrol."
"Roger that!"
"."
After hearing the response from the dispatch center, York didn't bother to pay attention to Keno and drove the Chevrolet Caprice slowly towards the exit.
In fact, just two cases is not the busiest time.
When it’s busy, there are at least seven or eight cases in a single day.
If something is missing, call 911. If someone is fighting, call 911. If someone is robbing, call 911. If someone is injured, call 911. If something is not in the right place in the house, call 911.
Call 911 for everything.
Breaking down these matters into the hands of the patrol department is enough to keep the entire patrol department busy all day long. He once helped an elderly man who lived alone find his cat, and he was sweating profusely.
This is real
Only Kino, a rich kid who was experiencing life, felt that having two cases in one day was too many.
But the strange thing is that after completing the second case, today was very peaceful. I was patrolling with Kino everywhere, and the radio was quiet, and there was no alarm.
So much so that there were only two cases a day.
And this situation is quite rare.
"Is it because of this guy?" Yorks looked at Kino, who was in high spirits because he got off work, with a bad look.
The way he currently earns attribute points requires a qualitative change in quantity in order to obtain rewards, even if it is just a small matter like finding a cat.
Two cases are really too few for him.
"Huh?" Kino sensed murderous intent and looked at York with suspicion.
But York had already unbuckled his seat belt and got out of the car.
"Is it my illusion? York seems very angry?" Kino thought uncomfortably, but he also pushed open the car door and got out.
Seeing that York had already walked a long way away, Kino could only put away the feeling that something was wrong and shouted.
"Wait for me, York!"
"."
-
After registering all the things that should be left at the police station, York took Gino out of the police station. There was no way Gino was clinging to him for some reason.
"It's only four o'clock now." Kino glanced at the luxury watch on his wrist, then looked at York beside him.
"Help me train my shooting skills before going to the banquet?"
Because he was there when Taribo invited him, he naturally knew about York's activities tonight.
York refused without stopping: "Go by yourself. Anyway, I have copied the key of the shooting range for you."
Jinuo paused, looked at York, spread his hands and said loudly: "Where are you going now? You have to be worthy of my one thousand tuition fee, right?"
York stopped in front of the driver's door of his Fl50 Raptor, looked at Kino standing there and shrugged.
"What you need most right now is proficiency. Have you ever heard of this saying? Practice makes perfect."
Jinuo interrupted: "You told me before that you don't know why you are so familiar with the language and literature of China."
"So you should just keep shooting with the Glock 17 for as long as you can, and practice the draw technique I taught you over and over again."
After Yorks finished speaking, he opened the car door and got in, leaving Kino with a helpless look on his face, and drove away.
In fact, what he was going to do was to buy a gift for Taribo's daughter Leila.
No matter where you are, especially in free America, it is impolite to show up empty-handed.
Although given his relationship with the Taribo family, there is no need for such tricks.
But as someone who had taken care of two young children at home, he knew the importance of gifts.
In the words of his sister Lillian, without gifts you are not even a human being, and no one will see you at all.
So if you want to gain a child's trust, there is only one step: give him a gift.
It can be said that uncles who bring gifts when they visit are the most popular among children.
York drove the Fl50 Raptor to the street in front of a nearby toy store, opened the door and got out.
It was four o'clock.
There are still many pedestrians going home from get off work.
Free America has done a good job in this regard.
York glanced at the various passers-by and walked into the toy store.
The layout is the same as that of ordinary businesses, with the cashier counter next to the door.
The boss inside was a middle-aged man who was sitting inside playing with his mobile phone. When he saw York come in, he just looked up at York without even saying a word of greeting.
York was used to this. He stood there, glanced at the environment inside, and then walked into the doll area on his own.
Girls love playing house the most. Whether it is his younger sister Lillian, or Leila who always calls him Uncle York in a very crisp and cute way, they all have the fantasy imagination of being a princess.
So the doll princess is the best gift.
"Which one should I choose?"
York stopped in front of a shelf full of dolls and was at a loss for a moment.
There are so many dolls on display, it’s dazzling, and the princess dresses they are wearing are of different styles and colors. I don’t know which one to choose.
"whatever."
Yorks laughed, speechless at his own hesitation, reached out and picked up a delicate-looking doll at random, then looked at the shelf on the other side filled with pretend kitchen toys, and continued walking.
The doll and the pretend toys are a perfect match. York can already imagine Leila's scream of surprise.
At this moment, because of his feeling, Yorks stopped suddenly and subconsciously looked at the open door.
Two thin black men wearing hoodies, hats and masks pushed open the door and appeared in front of him.
