Chapter 57: The Fourth Day of Vacation (Please read on)
"A coming-of-age ceremony?"
Yorks looked down at Tifa who had already raised her head, and met her crystal-like eyes.
The Free Country attaches great importance to children's independence, and for free people, the coming-of-age ceremony is a very important moment in a person's life.
Because for them, this means a new beginning, which means that they can make more life choices independently, such as voting, signing contracts, joining the army and many other things.
In some liberal families, adulthood means being independent, working part-time, and paying rent and food to the family.
But unlike boys, the first and most important stage for girls is at the age of sixteen.
To celebrate a girl's transition to this most important stage, family and friends usually hold a party or special event to celebrate.
Of course, some people may choose to celebrate this special day in a more low-key way, or choose to combine the celebration with other important events such as graduation.
"You don't want to go?" Tifa said.
"No, I can go over." York hugged Tifa, and the contact made him feel comfortable.
"I'm afraid your family will be frightened."
Judging from what Tifa showed, her sister's coming-of-age ceremony might only be attended by family members or important friends.
It is not difficult to imagine the significance of Tifa bringing him to participate in such an occasion.
There is no need to guess at all. It is equivalent to China bringing a boyfriend home. Although free countries are more free about feelings, the importance is almost the same.
"No." Tifa smiled, placed her right hand on York's rock-hard abdominal muscles and gently stroked them, and said softly:
"I think they should be very happy because they are all worried that no one will like me, a woman as cold as a fish, and I will end up alone."
York smiled. To be honest, when it was his first time with Tifa, he was really surprised, no! He was frightened.
That's why he has always placed Tifa in a more important position and separated her from those women with whom he only had ordinary physical relationships.
"Okay, when?" York stroked Tifa's hair and looked at the ceiling.
Tifa said, "March 9th."
"There's still a long time." Yorks twitched his lips:
"You told me so early, are you testing me?"
"What do you say?" Tifa raised her upper body and looked at York who had one hand behind his head, revealing her infinite spring light.
"You are just testing me!" Yorks took a deep breath again and pounced towards Tifa like a tiger pouncing on a sheep.
"As a psychologist, you actually get emotionally involved. You're done for. Get ready to be eaten by me!" Yorks pounced on Tifa and said viciously.
Tifa stretched out her hands to press against York's chest and chuckled, "It is because you are a psychiatrist that I know what kind of person you are. This makes me firm in my choice."
"Well? Who am I?"
"A sentimental fool."
"."
Early the next day.
York stood at the floor-to-ceiling window in the living room, facing the rising sun, tugged at the collar of his shirt and exhaled, then turned and walked cautiously towards the master bedroom.
"Thanks for your hard work."
Yorks kissed Tifa lightly on the forehead. To be honest, he was actually venting the depression in his heart last night.
After looking at Tifa quietly for a few seconds, Yorks pulled up the thin blanket to cover her revealing charming nude, then picked up the black backpack on the table and turned to leave.
He planned to deal with the black gun in the backpack first.
After processing, come back again.
--------------
On the third day of administrative leave, at noon, an eye-catching Bugatti Sentodic stopped in front of a high-end apartment.
Tifa, looking radiant, put her hand on the door handle and looked at York: "I'm leaving now. Don't forget my sister's coming-of-age ceremony."
York said gently, "Okay."
Tifa smiled, opened the car door and got out, waved to York inside the car, turned around and left, signaled to the security guard inside, and then walked into the apartment building.
Watching Tifa leave, Yorks raised the corner of his mouth slightly, stepped on the accelerator and drove away.
He spent his vacation days quite fully.
-------------
The fourth day of administrative leave was also Saturday.
After Yorks finished what he needed to do, he didn't go anywhere and slept all day at home.
On the way, he rejected Kino's invitation to practice shooting.
In response to Kino's complaints, Yorks only had one thing to say: "Just kidding, teaching you how to shoot is not as comfortable as sleeping soundly."
------------
Until the last day of administrative leave, which was Sunday.
Today happens to be the day for a family dinner at Sheffield House.
When it comes to family gatherings, Yorks is usually always there, rain or shine, and today is no exception.
As usual, he was responsible for buying handmade croissants at Gusta's house, which were loved by most of the family. After all, bread tasted better when it was handmade.
Gusta's is actually a small, ordinary bakery that has been open for decades. The decoration outside is not attractive at all, but this does not seem to affect its business.
It is said that when the old man was still in the police station, he would often come here to eat.
Of course, the old man is old now, and after several decades the owner of the bakery has been replaced by the next generation, but fortunately the techniques and taste have been inherited.
After parking the F150 Raptor on the side of the street, York opened the door and got out of the car, taking a quick look out of habit.
It was a busy area and there were many pedestrians walking on the street, but fortunately there was nothing unusual.
There was no way, he was really afraid that a person with a brain cramp would suddenly appear on the street.
If he is not alert, even if he is very strong, he will still be shot to death.
Yorks withdrew his gaze, looked towards the Gusta family shop in front of him, and walked over slowly.
There are many customers in the shop.
When you walk in, Yorks just stands behind the crowd and you can see the layout of the shop by sticking your head out.
Deep inside was a bar that blocked the guests' progress, with all kinds of handmade breads on display. Inside the bar were three people busy at work, a typical family of three.
The Gusta couple are middle-aged and have a son who is still young.
Perhaps it was because of his tall stature that he attracted Uncle Gusta's attention.
Seeing Uncle Gusta smiling at him, Yorks nodded and walked out of the shop.
Not long after, the young Gusta came out with the handmade croissants that had been packed long ago.
"Brother York! Here, these are the handmade croissants you ordered."
The young man's attitude was very enthusiastic.
York took the package, felt the temperature inside and smiled, "Okay, go in. We're so busy today."
