Chapter 33: Cunning Harry Osborn
Oak Restaurant.
Sitting by the window, Harry didn't wait for Charlotte, but saw Mary Jane first.
"Hi, Mary Jane, why are you here?" he asked confused.
"Charlotte said she would treat me to a big dinner."
Mary Jane sat opposite Harry, her chin resting on her hands, looking out the window, pretending to be melancholy.
"Harry, Charlotte has been acting mysterious lately. She's often not at home and has become increasingly cold towards me," she said.
Harry waved to the waiter, "Give this lady a cup of bitter coffee, thank you."
"I don't like bitter coffee." Mary Jane refused.
Harry shrugged, "But it suits your mood.
Besides, that guy has always been very cold to you. Did you just realize it now?"
Mary Jane: “.”
She glared at Harry. "None of your business."
"Okay, it's none of my business. I won't treat you to dinner then."
"Anyway, it's not you who's treating, it's Charlotte."
"Come on, when hasn't he treated me and I paid the bill?"
"Well, it seems so."
Mary Jane said as she looked around, but still couldn't find Charlotte.
"Why hasn't he come yet?" she muttered.
Harry couldn't help but laugh when he saw this: "You seem to be paying more and more attention to him."
"No."
Mary Jane turned her head, and then thought of the private chat they had a few days ago, and a smile appeared on her face.
It turns out that this guy is the one who understands her the most, and she didn't realize it for all these years.
"What are you talking about?"
At this time, Charlotte walked into the restaurant and saw the two of them, stretched out her hand and greeted them.
"We were talking about you." Harry asked the waiter to hand over the menu.
"Talk about me?"
Charlotte looked at Mary Jane with a strange look in her eyes.
Would this guy secretly tell Harry the chat records?
As if she had guessed Charlotte's thoughts, Mary Jane said faintly, "Don't worry, I'm not talking nonsense."
"Do you have a secret?" Harry looked at the two strange people.
"No, you are overthinking."
Charlotte took the menu and said, "Beef Wellington, two, no, three, okay, actually I want five." He said to the waiter.
"Are you a pig?" Mary Jane couldn't help but complain.
Charlotte glanced at the other person and said, "You don't understand men." He handed the menu to Mary Jane.
“I don’t need to understand.”
Mary Jane took the menu and ordered, while Harry said to Charlotte.
"What happened to you recently? I can't find you." he asked.
Before Charlotte could speak, Mary Jane teased, "He went to play the resurrection match."
"Resurrection match?" Harry was stunned and subconsciously thought of the resurrected Spider-Man.
Charlotte shrugged, "Yeah, it's fun, but a little life-wasting."
Harry shook his head, "I'm serious."
"Well, I was in some trouble and Spider-Man saved me."
"Spider-Man?" Mary Jane was surprised.
Harry was also surprised, "Wow, it's the superhero Spider-Man!"
Charlotte: “.”
This is damn poor acting.
"By the way, you said you had something important to tell Spider-Man?" he asked.
Harry was silent for a moment before he spoke.
"I have a friend."
Charlotte: “.”
"Well, what does your friend want with Spider-Man?" he continued.
Harry said seriously: "My friend is in some trouble, which is related to Spider-Man, but I don't have Spider-Man's contact information." He forgot to ask yesterday.
Charlotte nodded, "I can try, he should agree."
"Thank you. If you can contact Spider-Man and have him come to my house, just give him the address."
"no problem."
Listening to the conversation between the two, Mary Jane felt something was wrong.
"You have a secret!" she said firmly.
"No."
Mary Jane snorted, "Women's sixth sense is very accurate." "The terrible sixth sense is really accurate."
Charlotte and Harry lowered their heads guiltily at the same time.
-
Night, villa.
In the moonlight, red and blue figures flew and landed on the roof.
Charlotte looked at the devastation in the distance, that was the area where he was bombed.
"You came."
In the yard, Harry looked up at the figure on the roof, "Tony is missing. It's probably a kidnapping."
"This is really bad news."
Charlotte flew and landed in front of Harry, "Is this why you asked me for help?"
"Yes."
Harry asked John to bring two cups of coffee.
"You also want to find the guy who tried to kill you."
He pointed in the direction of the bombing area and said, “Stark Industries will not sell the MI1 Formula Missile to anyone other than the military.
The military should be able to rule this out, as they have records of using such weapons.
The only possibility left is that Tony sold this weapon privately, and even his assistant didn't know about it."
Charlotte nodded and took the coffee handed to him by the butler.
"Yes, only by finding Tony can I know who bought this weapon from him."
He said as he brought the coffee to his lips and then responded.
Harry was as cunning as his father and almost fell for it.
He gave up trying to drink and didn't reveal any facial features.
Harry felt a little regretful and continued, "Tony disappeared in that desert area. We can go look for him ourselves."
"No problem, but why are you looking for Tony?" Charlotte asked curiously.
Harry looked helpless. "This is a mission from S.H.I.E.L.D., and the Osborn Group needs a lot of cash flow. Only Stark Industries can help me."
Hearing this, Charlotte was thoughtful.
"I heard from your friend Charlotte that the Osborne Group withdrew Professor Kurt's research funding, probably for this reason." He asked tentatively.
"You seem to have a good relationship. He is even willing to share this with you."
Harry was a little absent-minded, “Father is optimistic about Professor Kurt’s experiment, and his technology will be very helpful in perfecting the genetic serum.
As long as Stark Industries' funds are injected into the group, I will continue to fund Professor Kurt's research, for my father and for myself." His eyes gradually became firm.
Charlotte breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that Harry had not given up on Professor Kurt's experiment.
It's mutually beneficial and good for both of you.
"Good luck, when are you going to see Tony?"
"I need to make some preparations before leaving tomorrow."
"No problem. For convenience, I'll sleep at your place tonight."
"I'm welcome."
"No need to clean my room, I sleep on spider webs."
“Wow, that’s cool.”
-
The next day, Charlotte and Harry boarded a private plane provided by Pepper to Afghanistan.
"The private jet was provided by Stark Industries. Has the Osborn Group become so desperate?"
In the cabin, Charlotte was still wearing her nano battle suit, chatting with Harry from time to time.
Harry looked at the scenery outside the window and said, "Every bit of money saved is a bit of money saved."
"Charlotte told me that you just bought a sports car, a limited edition."
Harry: “.”
"Ahem, Pepper just provided the latest news."
He clicked on the virtual map and changed the subject, "She has marked several armed forces that may attack Tony. Let's analyze them."
"No, I've already found it."
Charlotte pointed to an unclear area on the map and said, "This is the territory of the Ten Rings Gang. They are the most likely."
"The Ten Rings?" Harry frowned.
"They are considered a new force. They probably don't have the guts to take action against Tony."
"Trust me, my sources are reliable."
"Listen to you."
"You won't be disappointed."
"We still have eleven hours to reach our destination. Are you sure you don't want to open your hood and get some fresh air?"
"I am most afraid of sudden concern."
"Okay, you found out."
