Chapter 8: The Green Goblin's Final Madness
Late night, Osborne Group.
"Hahaha, this is so interesting, fun, fun"
In the dimly lit office, Norman, wearing the Green Goblin armor, was lying on the sofa, dancing like a naughty boy.
He accidentally fell off the sofa and his phone fell onto the carpet.
"Oh, my dear, please don't be broken, or I shall be very sad."
Norman carefully checked his phone and then breathed a sigh of relief.
"It's not broken, my fun will last for a while."
In the darkness, the timid figure trembled.
"Mr. Green Goblin, I. I'm ready."
Betty, with a pale face, set up the camera and turned on the lights in the office.
In the corner of the room, there were Osborne shareholders tied up.
Norman glanced at Betty, the demonic mask on his face twisted.
"Don't be afraid. I am the most terrible demon and I have no interest in harming beautiful ladies."
Betty was almost crying, and this made her even more scared.
Ignoring Betty's fear, Norman stood up and looked down at the shareholders, letting out a creepy, devilish laugh.
"Haha, are you ready?"
The faces of all the shareholders were filled with fear and struggle in their eyes.
Norman didn't hesitate and asked Betty to point the camera at them.
At the same time, the big screen in Times Square flickered for a moment, and was replaced by the live broadcast picture of the office.
"Tell me, what did you do to the great Mr. Norman Osborn?" Norman laughed.
Hearing this, all the shareholders avoided looking at the camera.
The next moment, Norman raised his hand and grabbed one of them by the throat.
"Crack!"
The corpse collapsed to the ground helplessly. Betty covered her mouth in fear and huddled in the corner, not daring to make a sound.
A group of shareholders were also scared to the point of peeing their pants by Norman's actions.
"Hahaha, what a bunch of cowards, but I don't like cleaning."
Norman flicked out a sharp blade from his wrist and threatened someone, "Start with you."
"I, I, I said, I said."
The man trembled, and he knelt on the ground with sweat all over his forehead and spoke.
"I am Kurtz, and I own 11% of the shares of the Osborne Group."
"Tell the important point!"
"Yes, yes, Osborn is the company founded by Mr. Norman. He gave everything for the company, but we joined forces to force him to leave the company after his experiment failed. We are sinners, we are..."
"That's not detailed enough. Next one."
Norman interrupts Kurtz and chops off his head without mercy.
"Ugh~~"
The head rolled down, and the bloody scene made everyone kneel down and vomit.
Norman felt very happy when he saw the ugly side of these guys.
“Hahaha, it’s fun, so fun!!”
He clapped his hands and laughed, and continued to let other shareholders recount their grievances.
The live broadcast of the square soon attracted countless citizens to stop and watch.
"Oh my god, it's the Green Goblin again. What a scary guy."
"terrible"
"What does he want to do?"
“What kind of bad taste is this?”
"Listen, it turns out that they removed Mr. Norman from his position as chairman. How is this possible?"
“What a terrible power struggle.”
Everyone was whispering, sirens rang out on the street, and a large number of police officers rushed to the Osborne Group.
"Quick, faster!"
"Today is a really bad day."
In the police car, George looked grim. He had just handled a case, and then a more serious and vicious incident happened.
If not handled properly, it will lead to more serious consequences.
He glanced at the live broadcast on the big screen and his expression became even gloomier.
With the capabilities of ordinary police officers, this matter is simply beyond their ability to handle.
I hope those guys are reliable enough!
He prayed in his heart.
Soon, police cars passed through the square.
The red and blue figure flew down and landed steadily on the billboard on the side of the road.
Looking at the picture on the big screen, Charlotte narrowed his eyes slightly.
This guy's condition is getting worse, otherwise he wouldn't do such a crazy thing.
He understood Norman's grievances.
He devoted his entire life to the Osborne Group, losing time to spend with his children and wife, and he didn't even get to see his wife again before she died.
Norman owes his family a debt, and just to restore the glory of the Osborn family, he wants to cure the Osborn family's genetic disease, for his own sake, and more importantly, so that Harry will not be tortured by the family's genetic disease, and live longer and happier.
But the failure of the genetic serum experiment made him lose everything.
All his efforts came to nothing.
The shareholders became the last straw that broke the camel's back.
They squeezed Norman's last surplus value and then abandoned him, forcing Norman to take the risk of injecting a half-finished genetic serum.
Norman succeeded. He possessed powerful strength and the family genetic disease could no longer take his life.
But he failed, too. He lost himself and became crazy and angry.
He wanted to take revenge on everyone and vent his inner pain and grievances.
He unleashed the worst demon in his heart to bring terror to everyone.
In the picture, Norman was smiling happily as the shareholders told the facts one by one.
Because of the Osborne Group, he was exploited by these shareholders all his life.
He did it willingly because it was his favorite career.
The reporters who kept gathering were doing the same thing.
Soon, a large number of police cars were parked under the Osborne Building, and a large number of people gathered.
Norman did not hide the location of the live broadcast.
"Mr. Devil, please calm down. You can tell us what you need and we will try our best to meet it."
Next to the police car, George raised his horn and shouted.
Armed personnel quietly sneaked into the building and were on standby at all times.
A helicopter was hovering above the building.
"Captain, it is basically confirmed that the Green Goblin's identity is Norman Osborn."
In the cabin, Natasha said with a serious expression.
Steve on the side held the shield tightly and took a deep breath. "Although I have been frozen for seventy years, my body has fully recovered. I'm fine."
Natasha shook her head. "Norman was once a senior agent of SHIELD, but for some reason, he left SHIELD very early to focus on running his own company. He is not easy to deal with."
Steve frowned, "Why didn't you tell me in advance if there was such a thing?"
"I just learned about this from Nick as well."
"Okay, I have to get used to your unreliability."
Steve said as Clint Barton's voice came through the headset.
"I'm ready. As long as he appears in my sight, I can lock him in the first place."
"Very good, Patton, you are Hawkeye, right? I look forward to working with you."
On the top of the tall building, Patton locked onto Norman's office with a composite bow in his hand, looking serious.
Suddenly, a red and blue figure appeared in his sight, and he quietly put his arrow on the figure.
"I found a red and blue bug. Should I shoot it?" he asked.
"insect?"
Steve was stunned, while Natasha seemed to be thinking about something.
"It's Spider-Man. It looks like Norman didn't kill him."
