Chapter 206: I have a connection with the Western religion!
"That monkey, please put away your magical powers!"
"I taught you my magical powers, so that you can show off?"
Bodhisattva pointed at the golden monkey that was still swirling in the sea of clouds and wantonly venting the power of its soul and Dharma, and scolded with a smile.
The golden monkey somersaulted down from the sea of clouds, then knelt on the ground obediently, speaking human language. It knelt three times and kowtowed nine times, saying, "Thank you, Grandmaster, for teaching me the Dharma!"
He raised his head, looked very clever, smiled and said flatteringly: "My disciple is rude, please forgive me, Master!"
"You, you must know that there are always people better than you. You monkey, follow me and practice in the future!"
"Thank you, Patriarch!"
The golden monkey stood beside Bodhisattva with his hands clasped respectfully, looking adorable and smart, and you couldn't tell at all that this was a statue of "Fighting and Victory Buddha"!
In fact, it was also a trick taken by Bodhidharma. He simply instilled the "Buddhahood" that he had stolen from the world under one person into the monkey.
The so-called "Buddha's fruition" is actually the essence of the personality and intention. It can also be said to be the authority of heaven and earth, the status of heaven and earth. The Buddha is also the Buddha's fruition in the inner scene and in the hearts of all living things!
The reckless monk still didn't believe it was true. Buddha should be high and mighty. How could it be...
"Alas, this junior fellow apprentice is obsessed!"
Li Dangxin put his palms upright in front of his chest and sighed: "Ah~mi~da~fo!"
Li Dangxin is worthy of the title of "No Zen to Comprehend". He immediately had a sudden realization and said, "The Tathagata knows and sees everything. All sentient beings have obtained such immeasurable blessings!"
Bodhisattva and Yuanyin looked at each other and smiled.
Puxin asked, "Why?"
Li Dangxin replied, "These sentient beings no longer have the self, the other, the living being, the life span, or the law, nor the non-law."
Yuan Yin asked again, "Why?"
Li Dangxin replied: "If the mind of these living beings takes the form, then they are attached to the self, people, living beings, and life span. If they take the form of dharma, then they are attached to the self, people, living beings, and life span. If they take the form of non-dharma, then they are attached to the self, people, living beings, and life span."
“So it is said: There is no self, no person, no living being, and no life!” Li Dangxin made the final decision.
"Hahahaha!"
Puxin and Yuanyin laughed heartily and said:
"It is not the Buddha who saves sentient beings, but sentient beings who save the Buddha. All sentient beings have the wisdom of the Tathagata."
"All appearances are empty. Seeing appearances as non-appearances is seeing the Tathagata. One should give rise to the mind without dwelling on anything. Leaving all appearances is called Buddha!"
"We two have a copy of the Diamond Sutra, which we can pass on to you. Are you willing to accept it?"
Li Dangxin savored the four Buddhist verses carefully and said with shame, "In the past, I underestimated myself, but today I have seen the true Buddha!"
"As for the Diamond Sutra..."
Li Dangxin thought for a moment, then replied: "As the saying goes, no merit means no reward, I am afraid that I cannot bear this blessing."
It is right for Li Dangxin to have some concerns. After all, effort and reward are often proportional. There is no such thing as gain without effort in the world, let alone this wonderful Buddhist Dharma, which almost points directly to the path to heaven.
(Don’t forget that the Buddha in Journey to the West also had to recruit people, so how could he preach the sutra with nothing in his hands?)
Li Dangxin even suspected that these two people had great ambitions, otherwise they would not have talked about such Buddhist truths to attract him.
The senior monk Longshu also saw that the two people in front of him seemed to have come specifically for Li Dangxin, so he couldn't help but ask, "You two... uh, Master Buddha, where are you from?"
"Why did you come to my Liangchan Temple?"
"Come from where you came from, go where you're going!"
"As for the purpose, it is naturally to enlighten you two."
Bodhisattva and Yuanyin had no scruples and said directly: "There are three Buddhas in the Western Paradise who have not yet been established. The monk Nagarjuna can take the position of the past Buddha."
"As for the white-robed monk Li Dangxin, he can be a modern Buddha. How about that? Are you willing to come with us?"
"Ah? This..."
Li Dangxin and his master, the monk Longshu, were both surprised and looked at each other.
Li Dangxin smiled bitterly and winked at Longshu Shangseng: "I told you, there must be a trap!"
The senior monk Nagarjuna also frowned. To be honest, the Buddhist principles discussed by Bodhicitta and Yuanyin were indeed exquisite. This made him, who had always been committed to promoting Buddhism, couldn't help but be moved.
Is this the mystery of Mahayana Buddhism?
"Amitabha!"
The monk Nagarjuna confessed his sin and said that he almost broke the precepts, but the decision was indeed difficult.
Li Dangxin saw that his master was moved, so he had no choice but to wink at his disciple and ask his wife to come over to "break all laws with one force" to at least get him home. As for the so-called "present Buddha", Li Dangxin didn't want to be one, and he had no interest in being one. God knows what rules and regulations the so-called Western Buddha would have.
This is how the opening scene happened.

After a short while, three figures appeared in the palace.
These three, of course, are the East-West girl, the little monk Bennanbei, and the very famous tigress master in Liangchan Temple.
The young woman did not yell or scold, but walked up to Li Dangxin and grabbed his ear. It was a pity that the great Vajra Realm cultivator was like a mouse seeing a cat.
"Li Dangxin, if you dare to abandon us, I will, I will..."
"Hmph, don't go to bed tonight!" The young woman snorted, ignoring Li Dangxin's dejected look.
The little monk Nanbei wanted to cry and persuade him, but little girl Li Dongxi was upset and didn't want her father to do anything like a Buddha, so she said angrily, "Shut up!"
"Oh!"
The little monk Nanbei was completely controlled by the little girl Li Dongxi.
The young woman had just finished speaking when she turned around and was about to leave with little girl Li Dongxi in her arms. Suddenly, a monk in white came up to the young woman in a panic and said with a smile, "Wife, are you tired from walking? Can you give me a tap on your legs?"
If there were outsiders present who were unaware of the situation, they would definitely think that given the arrogance displayed by this woman along the way, she would definitely give the white-robed monk a good beating.
But when she really saw her man giving in and being so obedient, the fire in her heart was extinguished. She touched Li Danxin's face and said softly, "I'm not tired. I just haven't seen you for several days. I miss you a little."
The white-robed monk named Li Dangxin had an intoxicating smile but said nothing. As long as she existed, there would be no Zen in the world.
All the monks in Liangchan Temple closed their eyes and said in unison: "What a sin, what a sin!"
Puxin and Yuanyin nodded and smiled, saying, "Li Dangxin knows his own mind and sees his own nature. He is truly a Buddha!"
"The body is like a bodhi tree, and the mind is like a mirror stand. I brush it diligently at all times to prevent it from causing dust."
"Practice according to this verse and you will avoid falling into the evil ways. Practice according to this verse and you will gain great benefits. If you recite this verse thoroughly, you will see the nature."
"Living beings who listen to the stanzas I composed are fortunate to see their nature, but they have not seen their true nature. They have only reached the door, but have not entered. With such a view, it is impossible to find the supreme Bodhi. For the supreme Bodhi, one must immediately recognize one's own original mind and see one's own original nature."
"Neither born nor destroyed, at all times, every thought is self-evident, all dharmas are unobstructed, one truth is all truths, all realms are naturally as they are, the mind of suchness is the truth, if one sees it in this way, it is the self-nature of the supreme Bodhi."
“So, there is no Bodhi tree, nor is there a mirror stand. There is nothing at all, so where can dust gather?”
"Brother, let's just pick him!"
"Junior brother, he is the only one who has such wisdom!"
The two men called Li Dangxin and said:
"As the saying goes, the four elements of Buddhism are empty!"
"But do you know that the Buddha realizes his own nature, explains his own nature, and is perfect in his own nature? He is free and follows his nature, and that is what makes him a Buddha!"
"Li Dangxin, the position of Buddha now belongs to you. You are destined to be with my Western Religion!"
The two persons manifested a Dharma body of a hundred feet in length, with twenty-four heads and eighteen hands, holding silk ribbons, necklaces, umbrellas, flower strings, fish intestines, golden files, golden bells, banners, golden bows, silver halberds, precious files, golden bottles, silver bottles, white axes, precious banners, divine pestles with blessings, six pure bamboos, blue lotus precious flags, and seven-treasure trees.
Twelve kinds of rainbow lights are emitted from the body, which are infinite light, boundless light, unobstructed light, wisdom light, ever-illuminating light, pure light, joyful light, liberating light, sun and moon light, and inconceivable light.
The sarira floats above the head, and a golden glazed wheel of flames blooms!
The two of them chanted in unison:
"The Great Awakening Golden Immortal is at the same time, the Western Wonderful Dharma Ancestor Bodhi, the three threes of birthlessness and deathlessness, the whole energy and the whole spirit are infinitely kind, the emptiness and silence follow the changes naturally, the true nature allows it to be done."
"With a majestic body as old as the sky, a great Dharma master who has experienced many calamities and enlightened his mind, his body emerged from the pure lotus platform, and the wonderful scriptures of the Two Vehicles were opened. His exquisite relics are beyond the ordinary, and his necklaces are peerless."
"Purple flames appear in the Eight Virtues Pond, and golden moss grows on the Seven Treasures Wonderful Tree. It is only because of the handsome man from the East that he came to meet his former lover and formed a holy fetus. The golden bow and silver halberd are not to prevent fools, and the precious pestle and fish intestines are called for a good method."
Before Li Dangxin could react, he saw Puxin and Yuanyin each transform their palms into an infinite Buddha world and come pressing down on them.
He took Li Dangxin's family, the young monk Wu Nanbei, and the great monk Longshu, all into the Buddha's kingdom in his palm.
When the Western religion takes a fancy to talented people, it only cares whether they have the affinity or not, so how could it allow them to be rejected?
